Key Stage One…Summer Term 2020

In Summer Term 2020, Key Stage One will be travelling across the globe! We will be thinking lots about our kitchens and cupboards and the things we might find inside them. We will be having a think about our tummies too and the things we like to fill them with. We will be enjoying a school trip to somewhere that can be very smelly indeed. However, our noses are safe for now because we will be taking our school trip online! I wonder if anyone can guess what it is we will be learning about during Summer Term 2020? Our guiding question will be revealed on Monday, so see you on the blog or Google Classrooms, Monday at 9am, when all will be revealed!

Let’s send Tom a birthday card!

I am sure lots of you have seen this amazing gentleman raising millions of pounds for our NHS. We would love to send him some birthday cards for his 100th birthday on the 30th April. If you would like to make Tom a card, please share them with your teachers or with me [email protected] by next Thursday- this could be a simple ‘happy birthday Tom’ poster which you are holding and your parents take a photo of and email in. We will then create a special booklet of your photos to send him! Let’s make this heroes day by sending him as many special Plover birthday wishes as possible!

Happy Easter

Thank you to everyone that has been on Google Classrooms to say hello today. Thank you to Paul for sending us a video!

Miss Lister, Miss Lotysz and myself would all like to wish you a happy Easter. We hope the Easter Bunny manages to get to your house and bring you an egg!

We will be back on Monday, Miss Lotysz will be online to say hello! We are all looking forward to the start of our new expedition. There is lots of hard work going on at the moment to make sure that even though you aren’t at school, we can continue with the same project, just in a slightly different way. We can’t wait to share it with you a week on Monday.

We also hope you enjoy today’s video. Miss Blackham really is working hard to keep us all together in the safest way possible during this time. The words are very true. We will see you again – we just aren’t quite sure when yet!

Keep safe everyone.

MissTopliss, Miss Lotysz and Miss Lister

Friday 10th April

Good morning everyone!

Friday is here again. I have a feeling Miss Blackham might be posting something special from your teachers again today so watch the website carefully!

As it is Friday, it is Pride of Plover! The following children have won a virtual yellow tshirt! Your certificate is ready and waiting at school for when a safe time arrives to award it to you.

1L Paul – for putting 100% effort into his work

1/2T Caziyah – for some fantastic maths in school with Miss Brogan. Miss Brogan was so proud she sent me a photo! However, I was in school so was able to pop and say well done myself!

2L Lily Grace – for her hard work last week and continuing to log in this week. I have loved seeing your crafts Lily-Grace!

I will be online all day today, so please remember to come across to Google Classrooms, or say hello at [email protected] – you can send me any photos or information about what you have been up to. I am going to spend much of today getting ready for the next expedition after the holidays. I am excited about what we will create, I am sure you will be too over the coming weeks!

Miss Topliss

Who are you isolating for?

Thank you so much to all children, parents, carers and staff for getting involved in this weeks video. The Olly Murs video will be shared next Friday– so you still have time to get involved and send your videos to [email protected]

Check us out on facebook ‘Plover primary school’ and give us a share!

Thursday 9th April

Well done to those children who are checking in online on Google Classrooms. Please remember that your teachers are still here to say good morning and to look at any lovely work you have done over the ‘Easter holidays’.

Thank you Lily-Grace for all your wonderful pictures of the activities that you have been doing, I loved the Elmer craft! How lovely to see Himani praising your great work too. Well done to Shayen, Darwin, Angel, Caziyah and Johnny for remembering to check in and telling me all about what you are up to. Check your comments on today’s check in – I have written you a little note back!

I am back tomorrow so please check in and say hello!
