Well done to the winners of the Air Pollution posters. The winning posters were decided by Doncaster Council and the children were presented with a brand new scooter and a helmet. A big thank you to all the children who designed posters; it was a hard decision to make.
A big thank you for all your support with the road closure yesterday. It was nice to see children coming to school on bikes, scooters and even walking!
Despite the weather, all year groups got to take part in some fabulous activities provided by Doncaster Council and really enjoyed being active! Thank you.
We learned circus skills, to balance and ride our bikes, we played the floor is lava (balancing game) and learned some new dance moves too. We even made smoothies using pedal power to power the blenders and they tasted delicious!
A big thank you to Dr Bike who fixed and gave our bikes a free MOT too!
Massive congratulations to this weeks Pride of Plover winners!
In XP outdoors at Plover we have started to prepare the ground for planting. The children have worked really hard this afternoon clearly the ground of weeds and leaves. They even created a safe space for the worms they uncovered! We can’t wait to continue our work next time!

Ahead of World Book Day, which is held on Thursday 3rd March, we would like to invite all children to make a book character from a toilet roll tube (or something of an equivalent size that you have at home). You can bring them into your class on World Book Day and one child from each phase will win a special prize! Below are some photos that might give you some inspiration but please let your imaginations run wild! We can’t wait to see your creations! #LovePlover
Parents, carers and friends,
International Polar Bear Day is coming soon, February 27th! the charity ‘Polar Bears International’ created the day to coincide with the time when polar bear moms and cubs are snug in their snow dens. As part of their celebration, they are focusing on the need to protect denning families across the Arctic.
We are doing our bit in school by completing a sponsored walk of 20 miles per crew over the course of this week, to replicate how far a polar bear might travel in a day.
In the lead up to the day, here are the live events and special outreach planned by the charity for anyone to join, starting a few days beforehand and ending on the day itself. Bring your curiosity and tune in to learn about mums and cubs, the threats they face, and how you can help ensure their future.Â
To get more information about the day’s events, follow this link:https://polarbearsinternational.org/act-now/awareness-events/international-polar-bear-day/?eType=EmailBlastContent&eId=84abf347-22c0-4a9c-b77b-1ab0f1a83edb
The school has no control of the content of this day as it is an international event, so we advise you to look into any events beforehand to ensure suitability for your children.
