Years 3 and 4 are enjoying an extended stay at school this evening to watch a movie to enrich the learning they have been doing this term. Their expedition title has been ‘The power of life: What makes us human?” I hope they enjoy the movie and are able to make links between the different case studies we have been learning about.
Year 3 have been working really hard this week to get better at measuring in mm, cm and m. They have also been converting between the different units of measurement. It’s been tricky, but we are getting there!
Well done 3H mathematicians! I’m so very proud of you all.
Thank you so much for the generous donations towards the Comic Relief penny trail. The children had a great time creating the penny trail and learning about the importance of Comic Relief.
Thank you to all of the grown-ups who were able to join us to celebrate the fabulous work that our children have done this term. Year 2 presented their work for the expedition ‘Ready, Steady, Grow: How can I be the healthiest version of me,’ beautifully and gave really good demonstrations of how to keep healthy. There was a great buzz in the hall as the children set about answering the quiz questions to help them take their grown-ups through their learning journey in the books. Great work Year 2!
Well done to our Pride of Plover winners in KS1. They have set a great example this week to inspire others. It’s lovely to hear about the progress and excellent attitudes toward learning that show how the children represent our Plover Pledge.
Your child has been sign posted specific pages in all of their CPG books. They are of course welcome to complete additional pages. We strongly encourage all children to complete this revision during the Easter holidays as this will really support them with their SATs.
If the work is returned completed, children will be entered into a prize draw to win a £20 amazon voucher and we have three up for grabs!
Thank you to all our fabulous children for all their hard work this expedition – See How Things Grow! Please see the video of our expedition journey and a video capturing our celebration of learning. The children produced some beautiful seed packets and planted some wildflower seeds within school and out in the community! Thank you parents/carers for all your cooperation and support, EYFS Crew. #LovePlover
We have had lots of fun in soft play, learning how to move, balance and jump in different ways. We have been working on a range of different equipment at different levels to enhance our gross motors.
