Thank you! We raised just under Ā£100 🥪

Thank you to everyone who bought a bacon or a sausage sandwich this morning! We managed to raise just under Ā£100 which is amazing! Here are some photos from this morning (some children were too excited that they ran off to eat their sandwich before I managed to get a picture!)

Yellow Tshirt Winner

Congratulations Harry for winning the Pride of Plover today. Recently you have been showing what it means to work hard, get smart and be kind. Your writing is going from strength to strength and you are making good progress in Maths. Awesome.

Want your own copy of Skry Pit Kids?

The author, Jacqueline Bellew, has very kindly sent us three signed copies of her enrapturing novel: The Skry Pit Kids.

Three lucky children from across phase 5/6 could become the owners of these books.

How to win a copy: give your name to Mrs Haycock if you want to be included in the competition; read (from your star colour); pass quizzes on MyOn or Accelerated Reader.

The three children who have achieved the most minutes read by the end of the school year will be awarded their own signed copy of this amazing book.

Get reading guys!

Marvellous Maths

These guys have shown great resilience in their Maths work today, when grappling with percentages and pie charts. Awesome.

Today we are Historians.

A shout out goes to Sofia and Zara today for being learners of their own learning, with great success. They analysed sources independently and were able to answer questions about the Industrial Revolution.

Well done.

Home learning, Hero

A shout out to Oliver for producing a fabulous piece of homework. He has researched the life of Richard Trevrick, an engineer , who we have been studying in History. His work was well written and we learnt lots of facts from it.
Keep working hard to get smart.

Thank you Doncaster Stories

Today we feel really lucky as Doncaster Stories, the Childrenā€™s University and the Doncaster Opportunity area have provided all KS2 children with bags and craft resources to take part in the Doncaster Reading Miles challenge!

All Children in years 3, 4, 5 and 6 are being encouraged to read at least 10 minutes a day and to work their way round their Doncaster map, earning stickers as they reach their destination.

Completing the map will count towards the Childrenā€™s University graduation and will earn the children certificates.

We are also going to have our own friendly competition in school.
