2P learnt about Islam in RE today. They learnt all about what Muslim people believe and what Muslims do for Eid. The children then created some Eid inspired bunting.

These children were very proud of their home learning. They could tell us about how they made their work and what it meant.
Year 1- R.E
Year 1 had a productive afternoon in RE. We looked at different parables from the Bible and focused in particular on the story of ‘The Good Samaritan’. The children were then able to order the picture cards to put the story into the correct order. Well done Year 1!

1IL Ball skills
Year 1 practiced their ball skills this afternoon, focussing on how to stop the ball with their feet. They then had a good go at passing to a partner and were even able to weave in and out of the cones at the end!

2P really enjoyed learning about Christian parables today. We looked at the story of ‘The Good Samaritan ‘ and what the deeper message is behind its story. They then ordered the story into the correct sequence. Well done Year 2!

Year 2 did so well this afternoon when taking part in a gallery walk! The children were looking at different visual representations of Jesus and we had such a good discussion about how people pictured him to look and why. They had such good ideas and opinions. Keep it up!

There will be a Read Write Inc information session on Wednesday at 2.30. I will be showing you the parents information and how we teach phonics in school. Family Reading in the sun!
What a beautiful way to end our summer half term. Thank you to all the parents who came to support their children in reading today. I hope everybody enjoyed the story about The King’s Pants.
