Friday 10th April

Good Morning 4G!

Well, it’s Good Friday, traditionally a quiet day, a day for thoughts.  I wonder if we can spend a few moments today thinking about all those people that are working hard to make sure that we stay safe – that could be mums, dads and carers planning things for us to do at home to keep us entertained, queuing up at supermarkets to get us nice food or keeping the house clean to get rid of germs.
We could take time to thinks about all the keys workers – going to work so that we stay safe.

I would like to take a minute to thank the staff working from home and coming into school, especially Mr Taylor, Tracy our cleaner and the kitchen staff who have continued to come into work on the bank holidays so we continue to have children in school.

Hopefully, the weather will be nice over the weekend  and you will get some fresh air.

Fingers crossed that the Easter Bunny finds you on Sunday!

Have a lovely weekend!

Who are you isolating for?

Thank you so much to all children, parents, carers and staff for getting involved in this weeks video. The Olly Murs video will be shared next Friday– so you still have time to get involved and send your videos to [email protected]

Check us out on facebook ‘Plover primary school’ and give us a share!

Thursday 9th April

Good Morning

It is lovely and warm today – even though it isn’t as bright and sunny as it has been.

I’m in school these next two days, so if anyone has any questions, you can ring me in school.

The work is online, get going with those Easter Challenges – there will be prizes –  well done to Bethannie, who has made a start.

Thank you to Sienna for sending in the first ‘I’m isolating for …..” poster and photo – it is lovely. We need those to be with Miss Blackham by lunchtime today so we can turn it into fab video!!

Have you found today’s egg yet?

Have a great day – keep washing your hands!!

Wednesday 8th April

Good Morning 4G,

It is another beautiful day today. Make sure you get some time outside in the garden, if you can, to enjoy it.

We need as many of you as possible to write and tell us who you are isolating for so we can continue with a little project! Please tell us who are you isolating for by simply writing on a piece of paper and sharing your photo to [email protected]

It might be for your grandparents who you are missing, your family, your school friends, your country etc!

You can be as creative as you like! Above are some examples being modelled by the lovely Lacie and Bethannie! The deadline for these photos is Thursday at 4pm to be featured in this Friday’s video- get involved, we need you!

Keep hunting for the eggs on the teacher blogs – next one at 9:30 and make a note of the letter.

I have made a little change on the Easter Challenge on Google classroom – it is all on one slides document, so the challenges should be easier to complete.

Please check-in on the feelings chart.

Have a lovely day.

Did you find yesterday’s hidden egg?  You can still look for it today but there is another one to find too! Keep it a secret where you find it.

Same today as yesterday – have a go at the Easter Challenged and click ‘hand in’ when you have finished.

I have emailed you your login for a brand new coding game called Rodocodo. Click the Google Mail button when you log into the school website to take you to your email.

There is always Rock stars and reading and don’t forget the challenges.

Please only do what you want to do – there is no pressure!

Get some fresh air if you can following the guidelines.

Stay safe

Mrs Graves

Look at these superstars!

Good morning everyone! I am so pleased that 5/6 children are already getting started on their Easter challenge! A huge well done to Dominic, who has been helping his sister join in with Joe Wicks. Lacie and her sister Bethannie, for making up Easter treats to give out to their neighbours- they look so yummy! Cailey and her sister Shena, for creating gorgeous posters and baking beautiful treats! Well done you lovely lot! 5 points for each activity! I hope you reach 50- keep the photos coming in!

Monday 6th April

Good Morning 4G

Well officially, the Easter holidays should start today – but school is still open and teachers are still working, but we wanted to do things a little differently for you for the next two weeks.

Instead of posting activities everyday, we have put a challenge slides task onto Google classroom. Click onto the grid in the slides and it will take you to the challenge.

Your aim is to work your way across the grid from the left to the right without breaking the chain.

You can do as many challenges as you want, but the aim is to at least complete one row.

You can do one challenge a day or as many in a day as you would like!

As well as this, I have posted some extra Easter Activities to help you pass the time!

Please check the blog and complete the feelings check-in every day  – to make it more interesting I have hidden Easter Eggs in the other teachers blogs – one will appear at 9am every day (Monday-Friday) for the next two weeks. Find the eggs and make a note of the letters. At the end of the two weeks, there will be a special message! There is a PRIZE for the person to comment with the message on the last blog!

Happy Hunting and remember your feelings check-in!!

More gorgeous rainbows!

I have been sent even more gorgeous rainbows by this lovely lot! It certainly puts a smile on my face when I see them so I can only imagine how it makes key workers feel as they walk past your homes! 🌈 On Friday, I will share our rainbow video, so you still have a few days to send yours in to be featured!
