Feel Good Friday

Here is this week’s Feel Good Friday! Thank you to all those who have took part! We are missing you all!

Friday 29th May

Good Morning,

Havenā€™t we been lucky with the weather for half term week. I hope you have had chance to enjoy it at home.

Thank you to Dahin and William for their brilliant portrait recreations – you will see them in the Plover Feel Good Friday vidĆ©o later today.

There will also be some of our work showcased in the XP Trust Week in the Trust video – again check the website later or you can also find it on the Plover Primary page if your parents have Facebook.

Todayā€™s Pride of Plover is …….. Matias! He has completed loads of work online but also always joined in on our Google Meet every week and really made me smile.

Enjoy your day guys and look out for the videos later today on the website!

Thursday 28th May

Good Morning,

I want to start this morning by giving a shout out to Corey and his really creative writing task. He wrote his diary entry last week online, but then he made some paper look old and reprinted his words in a Tudor Style. think you’ll agree how awesome it looks.

Corey explained how he did it: I put 1 spoon of coffee in some water and poured it over the paper, then dabbed it down and put it in the oven to dry.It went all crispy.

Well done Corey.

Dahin has sent an amazing portrait recreation – I can’t wait to show you all. Have you decided what you are doing? Get sending your photos to me – I would love to see them.

Have a lovely day, stay safe,

Mrs Graves.

Wednesday 27th May

Good Morning

I hope you are well and enjoying the nice weather.

Please use today to recreate a picture from a famous artist – I would love to have lots of entries from 4G – they are going to feature in this week’s video.

I’d like to do a Google Class Meet at 2 o’clock today – hope to see lots of you there.

Fill in your feelings chart.

Keep safe,

Mrs Graves

Calling all budding artists! J.K. Rowling is inviting you to help illustrateĀ The IckabogĀ for her. Every day when chapters of the story are uploaded, she will be making suggestions for what you might like to draw or paint to illustrate the story as it goes along. You should let your imagination runĀ wild!

The best bit is, if you are between seven and twelve years old, your parent or guardian on your behalf can enter your drawings or paintings into the official competition being run by J.K. Rowlingā€™s publishers, for a once in a lifetime chance to be featured inĀ The Ickabog book, which is published in November. The competition is now open in the UK!

Details about how to enter, the prize and the terms and conditions are all on the website link below.

Feel Good Friday

Thank you to all key workers, to all our parents/carers and our children for cooperation and hard work during these uncertain times. You have all been amazing! Here is this week’s video!

If anyone missed out, we will be creating a second rainbow video, so please continue to send your pictures in.

Next week, as our school holidays approach, we would like photos/videos of anything and everything you have been up to during our school closure, this can range from home learning, activities in line with social distancing, household family fun, anything at all! Please send your videos to [email protected] no later than Thursday at 3pm.

Stay safe everyone, we miss you!

Pride of Plover

Congratulations to Gabriella, this week’s Pride of Plover. She has been doing loads of reading on Epic reading and working through her learning.

Well done!!

Mrs Graves

Our school challenge next week is to recreate a famous portrait. Use your imagination and get creative. Involve your family members if you want, but pick your picture, strike a pose and get snapping!
I chose a portrait by Holbein (a Tudor Artist) to copy, but you can choose any artist and style.
Have a look at the website for some brilliant examples!
Email a copy of the original portrait and your new version to me: [email protected] or to Miss Blackham: [email protected] by Thursday 28th May

Friday 22nd May

Good Morning,

I hope you are all well.

Well done to Lola for completing her model of a Tudor House – Everyone I have given you lots of time on classroom today to finish off your houses. Remember you can use whatever you want to make them -lego, card, playdoh – anything at all. There is a class prize so please get your entries to me by 12 o’clock if possible so Mrs Ogle can judge them.

I would like more of you to write your diary entries, so again English if to complete that. Can you age some paper and copy them up so it looks like they were written in Tudor Times? Get creative!!

Next week is half term, we still want you to check in everyday but I will be posting the week’s activities on Monday for you to have a go at when you want that week.

Take care, keep safe!

Mrs Graves
