I love to hear how our expeditions inspire our children to go out and take their learning further.
I was thrilled today when Ashton brought a very special letter that he had received into school. Ashton wrote to Sir David Attenborough and got a lovely personalised reply back.
Ashton said that he told Sir David how much he enjoyed his programmes and that his favourite animal is a Blue Whale. Well done Ashton for taking the initiative and writing the letter.
We have had quite a few children visiting the dentist over the last few weeks. When Bradley went, he asked for photographs to compliment his learning – well done Bradley!

We have enjoyed creating our own skeletons in English this week to get us hooked for our next English unit. We even revised the scientific names of the bones.
Your child will come home tonight with a letter regarding this competition- all details can be found on the following link https://www.stampcompetition.ichild.co.uk/
If your child would like to submit an entry (and there are fantastic prizes to be won). Please bring your entry to 6B by Tuedsay 25th May and we will send your entries off on your behalf. 5 crew coins to everyone that gets involved!

Thank you to everyone who bought a book today at the book sale. We have raised £27 so far and hope to have some more for sale next week! #LovePlover
4L have really enjoyed this years pyjamarama day. Lots of children came in their pyjamas, shared their favourite stories and loved receiving some freebies to take home with them.
Today we feel really lucky as Doncaster Stories, the Childrenās University and the Doncaster Opportunity area have provided all KS2 children with bags and craft resources to take part in the Doncaster Reading Miles challenge!
All Children in years 3, 4, 5 and 6 are being encouraged to read at least 10 minutes a day and to work their way round their Doncaster map, earning stickers as they reach their destination.
Completing the map will count towards the Childrenās University graduation and will earn the children certificates.
We are also going to have our own friendly competition in school.

A massive well done to Floyd and Dougie on winning the yellow tshirts this week. They have both had such fantastic weeks and I couldn’t choose between who to give it to. Very impressed boys, keep it up!
