Game Planning and Scavenger Stories!

I set my class a task to plan their own computer game. They had great fun letting their imaginations run wild!

Ellis became very creative, I praised the special powers, skills and tools he chose.
Paul really thought about the games he enjoyed playing when planning his own game.

On request of my class, we had another scavenger hunt. After finding a variety of random objects I set the challenge to create a story using the objects. As always, my class were fab and embraced this challenge!

Ellis, again showing his super imagination
Roman, also created a super story, amazingly using all of the objects.

Fabulous work everyone.

We also had video stories, dream jars, diary entries and marvellous maths work taking place. You are all amazing.

Future 3LS

Good Morning!

I’m having a little trouble uploading a video so thought I’d introduce myself here instead. Most of you already know me but if you don’t my name is Mrs Shuka.

I’m looking forward to teaching you in Year 3 along side Mrs Lewis. I will be teaching you from Monday to Wednesday. We’ve got some lovely expeditions planned and we’re going to have a great year. I can’t wait to see you all and find out how much you’ve grown and changed since you were with me in F2. I’m also looking forward to those if you who have joined Plover in years 1 and 2.

In the meantime, here are a few clues about me and the sorts of things I’m interested in. I wonder if you can guess them all!

Scavenger Hunt Pictures… and more!

I set you all a challenge to find 10 things in our scavenger hunt – easy you all thought! Then I asked you to create a picture with your objects. You were all so creative. Great fun today in our afternoon check in. Here’s some of the fabulous learning you have completed.

Mia created a person with her objects.
Taylor’s person was involved in a shark attack… eek!
Mrs Pig has a car full of shopping, she is waiting at the barrier whilst eating sweets. Great imagination Ellis.
Theo created a smiley face.
Ellis and Roman enjoyed creating work to tell us about themselves.
Paul and Ellis completed super comic strips
Mia wrote an awesome diary entry!

You are all making me so proud 1/2C. Keep going 2 more days before we are back in our classroom.

Excitement Online

It was great seeing so many of you online today wanting to find out who will be teaching you next year. If you didn’t make it online I have dropped a video into your Google Classroom from your new teacher.

After the excitement you completed some fabulous learning.

Let’s take a look at some of the wonderful work that has come through today and over the weekend.

Maybe football didn’t come home – but we certainly supported our team.

I was really impressed with some of the diary entries that came through.

We even wrote letters to our new teachers.

Hello 3G

This is my first post for my new class 3G!

I am really looking forward to getting to know you better and I am sorry we can’t be in school to talk in person but here are some facts about me for now:

I have two children , Tom is at University in Lincoln studying science and Harry is about to go into Year 11 at school. Both boys love rugby and one of my favourite things to do is to watch them play in rugby matches.

I enjoy running and yoga and it is my plan to do more of both over the summer.

I like to go on holiday in this country and enjoy going to the Yorkshire Dales because of the great walks in the countryside.

I hope to find out more about you too – so why don’t you let me know what your favourite things are by emailing me: [email protected]

I am really looking forward to September, and I hope you are too.

Mrs Graves

Who will your new teacher be?

Our first check in on Monday has been rearranged to 11am. This is so that you can watch the football and not have to wake up too early!

We do encourage you to come online for this Check In, as we will be letting you know who your knew teacher is. Check Ins for the rest of the week will be at the usual time of 9.30am.

Due to some classes working remotely we are postponing sports day. We will be holding this within the first week back in September. We are hoping that parents will be able to attend (let’s keep our fingers crossed!) More details will follow.

Hope you have a super weekend everyone, get those banners, bunting and posters you have made up and let’s support England.

COME ON ENGLAND!
