I hope that Monday’s learning finds you all well?

Hello children! Here is some exciting learning to try today. Please send your learning to me, via ‘Evidence Me’ and I will put it on the blog to inspire others!

If your child is not attending the Foundation 1 setting tomorrow, please allow them to attend the story time at 2pm. I will have sent you a link. Thank you to all those who have replied already.

Bear Art

Here’s some of our fantastic artwork from Friday. We’ve been learning to be artists, painting and drawing our teddy bears. We had to think carefully about the shapes and colours we would need and experimented mixing up lots of different shades of brown from caramel to chocolate.

Teddy bear paintings

We have had a fantastic day learning to be artists. We watched a video of how to follow a painting routine and then painted pictures of teddies. These are our creations.

Well done everyone

Phonics – oa and igh

We will start every phonics session with a quick practice of the graphemes and tricky words that we have already covered. For this you will need to click on each of the links below or make your own flashcards to match.

Today we will be learning to recognise and use the vowel digraph and trigraph oa and igh. Watch the short videos below and see how many words you can read before your time runs out

Can you think of any other oa or igh words? If you can write them down. You might even be able to write a sentence with them and remember to send a photo of your learning to show what you have done.

F2S Pride of Plover award

This week’s award goes to Caine. Caine has only been at Plover for a short while but has returned this week and settled in straight away. He has thrown himself into our new expedition and worked so hard at everything he has done. I’m particularly proud of his efforts in phonics.
