Our new Year 5 & 6 children have enjoyed a crew team building session this morning. They had so much fun cheering each other on and working together! We are so excited for next year!

UKS2 COL & colour run reminder!
A polite reminder about our UKS2 celebration of learning event- Monday 1st July! Children will be participating in a colour run to raise funds for a mental health charity which supports schools by offering in-school counselling for pupils and for XP outdoor equipment. We would LOVE as many parents and carers to join us as possible. You donāt have to run and you donāt have to complete the full laps. One lap would be amazing! Itās Ā£1.50 per participant. Refreshments will be on sale as well as an on the day raffle with all proceeds going to the very worthy causes.
The children are SO excited to share their final product and reflect on the expeditionary learning this term. They have worked so hard and we are so very proud of them. We can not wait to see you all there at 1:45pm

Time to read crew- reading for pleasure!
In crew, our UKS2 children have been enjoying reading their books outside with their friends. They discussed which books they have read this week. They shared the author of the books, the genre and a summary of the texts so far. The children then each made a pledge to read a recommend text next. We have been able to build on our ‘texts we have read’ displays and we have nearly met our class targets!

Doncaster Storytelling Festival
I was so proud to take the Year 5 book club to the Doncaster Storytelling Festival at the Dome on Tuesday.
We have been reading and reviewing books all this year and the Festival was the culmination of all that work.

Above you will find all the relevant details on how to apply ahead of our exciting assembly. The members of the staff leadership team will select a number of children to go ahead to share their manifestos in our whole school assembly. The whole school will then have the opportunity to vote for their student Headteacher and three student assistant headteachers! This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase one of our British Values- Democracy!
