Expedition Expert

EYFS had a very exciting morning today as we had our first expert of the expedition come to visit us. Phil Sheppard came and read us some different stories all about bears. He then shared with us a beautiful story that he has written and illustrated himself, about a Bear and the change of seasons. The children were very intrigued by Philā€™s story and asked some fantastic questions.

What a day!

We have had some superstars today. There have been children challenging themselves in their learning. Some children have been returning to their learning to improve it. Kaya, Sujaya and Maisie responded to I wonders and improved their learning.

Elijah has been saying letter sounds and has been playing with other children outside.

What kind of day did we have? A fantastic one. Thank you F2P.

Superstars

We have had a fantastic week in F2P. There were 2 yellow t-shirt winners today. Both boys were chosen for working hard and challenging themselves in their learning.

Well done Kayson and John-Boy. We are proud of you.

Fantastic tidying

Well done to Riley who spotted an untidy area in the classroom and cleaned it all up on his own, using the provision photos to help just like we discussed in crew.

Making numbers

In maths today the children had the challenge to make numbers in different ways. Some children made 5 and some 10.

Well done to Elizabeth, Kyla and Nicolas. Fantastic maths work.

Is it old or is it new?

Today the children have been exploring old and new toys. Thank you to Kayson’s and Alfie’s families for sharing old toys from home.

The children gave reasons as to why they thought the toys were old or new. This is what some of the children said.

Shapes outside

We took our maths lesson outside today. It was lots of fun. We found circles and triangles and some children used corners and sides.
