Well, what a day! The children have blown me away with their reading today. So many children have moved up reading shelves and have learnt red words. Well done everyone. Keep practicing.

Sensory learning
As part of sensory learning, some of the children in F2 made smoothies to prepare them for some learning in the next couple of weeks.
They loved making the smoothies and tasting them!

Childen’s University Coffee Morning
Children’s University will be holding a coffee morning, this Thursday at 9:00am, during Plover Pantry, in the hall. Please stop by to meet our staff and parent ambassadors. They will be available if you have any questions or to register your child.

Our expert visitor – a nurse
Today we had a visit from an A and E nurse called Theresa. She told us about her job and how she helps people to feel better so that they can be healthy again. She wore her uniform and showed some of the equipment that she uses. This continued our learning of the visit of Mr Price as a paramedic.

Pride Of Plover
Today F2 went into the whole school Pride Of Plover assembly for the first time and they all sat beautifully. A special shoutout to Almina and John that got our yellow tshirts.
Almina is always a very kind and caring member of our crew, always offering to help her peers and tidy up for others. Almina has also worked really hard extending her learning independently this week doing lots of reading and writing during provision time.
John has been showing great kindness to the F1 children, as well as his peers, helping them to settle into school. Well done John! He has also been working hard class with his learning.

Marvellous maths
We have had lots of fun learning about Numberblocks this week. We have ordered numbers and talked about 1 more and 1 fewer.
Well done to Sujaya and Nicolas for creating their own game with the numbers.
Emorie re-created the Numberlocks and talked about how she had made them. āI had to put one more on each time.ā

Paramedic visitor
We were very fortunate today to have a visit from Mr Price . Mr Price is a paramedic. He helped us learn what we need to do to look after our bodies. We learnt new words and practiced bandaging.
