KS1 finally got their sports day today and what a great time we had! 2P really enjoyed the mix of different activities that we got to have a go at, with the javelin being the surprising favourite (despite the wind!). We all worked hard and had great fun and even challenged ourselves to do things we weren’t sure we could do. Well done 2P!

We had a fantastic sports day this afternoon! The class were superstars, showing real sportsmanship to each other and great resilience! I am so proud of them all!
Just a reminder that there are a number of Y5 children doing bikeability this week. Can the children please come in comfortable sports wear and trainers, with sun cream and potentially a rain coat. Can the children please bring their bikes and helmets if they said they was going to bring them. Thank you
On Friday, we celebrated the wonderful talent we have at Plover School and more widely across the whole trust.
The Plover LKS2 Cheerleaders and UKS2 singers entertained the audiences and the Year 4 dancers performed the routine they have been working on for weeks.
It was a very hot day but the children kept their energy high for their performances in the afternoon and evening and they were a very gracious audience for the other performers.

What a euphoric end of the year Sports, PE and Physical Activities awards assembly we had – as we had the pleasure of welcoming Donny Dog, Coach Tom and the sublime League 2 Trophy which Doncaster Rovers won last season! What a celebratory morning we have had! A huge appreciation to all the Plover children who have contributed and participated in Sport, PE and Physical Activity this year at Plover and in the community. We are proud to have achieved the Gold School Games Mark for a 2nd consecutive year and have been awarded the Equal Access to Sport award as we continue to provide opportunities for girls, FSM and SEN children. #LovePlover
Today we visited the Yorkshire Air Museum in Elvington! We had learned a lot about the early advances of flight and we impressed our guides with our previous knowledge! We learned about some local Yorkshire heroes in the aviation industry such as Amy Johnson (our very own Amelia Earhart) and Sir George Cayley. We have seen and sat on some very cool planes.
