Good Morning.

Remember that I introduced you to the new finger spelling challenge yesterday so this is something you might want to have a go at through the day. I have added the link here again: Finger Spelling Challenge

I am in school supporting pupils today but I will try and get into the classroom as and when I can to help out with any problems you may be having. Please bear with me for any responses.

Remember the importance of punctuating your sentences when you are writing on your learning in the classroom. Some people seem to be forgetting the basics!

Have a great day.

End of day thoughts.

It has been a really busy day over in the classroom to day. Thank you to everyone who checked in with me. Just a few highlights of great learning that I would like to share with you:

There have been some excellent character descriptions by Cole, Alfie, Shashank, Esther and Troy where they included some brilliant adjectives. They used the text really well to create their ideas.

There has also been great learning in Expedition about Elizabeth I in 3L. Pheobe, Nikita and Shena did some great comparisons of all of the different portraits and made some great observations.

Well done everyone!

As part of Deaf Awareness week there is also a new finger spelling challenge for you to have a go at. You have all week to practice and you can challenge yourself to see how far you can get. Which level can you reach? The link is here: Finger Spelling Challenge

Enjoy the rest of your day and I will see you all in the morning.

Good morning.

Good morning Year 3.

I will be looking after you all over in the Classroom again today. The Tudor expedition continues with 3L looking at Elizabeth I whilst 3P get to use everything they have learnt so far about the Tudors to look at their family tree.

There are also the usual mix of Maths and English learning tasks to be having a go at. Remember to have a go at as much of the learning as you can but remember it is OK to miss out any questions you may be finding tricky. Please do not hand in any tasks where you have not completed any of the challenges as this isn’t necessary.

It was great to see people logging on to the classroom who I have not seen online for a while. You are always welcome to log in and see what is going on.

It is still very breezy and chilly outside so remember to stay at home, keep warm and do some brilliant learning.

Have a brilliant day.

Thank you.

Thank you for working so hard today Year 3. I have enjoyed looking at your learning.

Cole and Pranav have done some great analysis of different portraits of Elizabeth I. There were some excellent observations of how they were similar and different. Pheobe, Ashton and Nikita also did some great comparisons of how their lives are different to that of Edward VI.

Anez and Shashank did some great work with subtracting money and solving problems in Maths and Sumika and Bradley also did brilliant work on their spellings of the Year 3 spelling lists.

Pranav sent me a great video of the VE Day songs you were given to practice last week and I also received this picture of Darcy preparing an afternoon tea for her celebrations at home. There was also lots of home-made bunting from Cole and Nikita. Well done everyone who took part and I hope you had a great time.

Have a great evening and I will see you all tomorrow.

New week.

Good morning Year 3.

I hope you had a great weekend and enjoyed the break from school work. The weather has certainly changed from very warm to really cold. Just when I thought winter was over!

If you did join in the celebrations for the 75th anniversary of VE Day last Friday, please send in any photos or videos you took so that we can share them on the blog. It would be great to see what you did.

I am looking after you all in the classroom today so pop in and say hi. Remember to at least complete the feelings check in. I will be there to help and try and answer your questions. Don’t forget you can help each other if you see any comments that you know the answer to.

Have a good day.

Have a lovely weekend!

I hope you have all had a lovely VE day so far. Well done to everyone you has logged on today, it’s been lovely to see your celebrations.

Next week we will back to learning about the Tudors and Mr Pickering will be back to help in our online classrooms.

Enjoy the weekend! Take care and stay safe!

VE Day

We’ve been waiting all week for today – happy VE Day everyone!

Make sure you log on to our Google Classroom and let me know how you are today. Why not help prepare a VE Day party at home? Could you help make the sandwiches or help decorate the house? You could get some music on and show off your Lindy Hop! Make sure you watch some of the TV coverage today and find out why VE day is so important to our country.

I hope you all have a great day and enjoy the celebration.

Stay safe!
