Monday 15th June Maths answers

TGB: bonds to 100

Here are a few questions for you to have a go at yourself.

10 + 90 = 100

50 + 50 = 100

60 + 40 = 100

80 + 20 = 100

100 = 70 + 30

100 = 0 + 100

Here are a few questions for you to have a go at yourself.

Fill in the missing numbers, e.g. 7 + 3 = 10, 70 + 30 = 100.

6 + 2 = 8       60 + 20 = 80    2 + 6 = 8       20 + 60 = 80

5 + 1 = 6       50 + 10 = 60   1 + 5 = 6       10 + 50 = 60

4 + 3 = 7      40 + 30 = 70    3 + 4 = 7      30 + 40 = 70

If I know challenge- teacher example.

If I know 80 + 20 = 100, what else do I know.

E.g. I know

20 + 80 = 100,

100 = 20 + 80,

100 = 80 + 20,

100 – 80 = 20,

100 – 20 = 80

8 + 2 = 10

If I know challenge- you turn!

If I know 60 + 40 = 100, what else do I know?

40 + 60 = 100

100 = 60 + 40

100 = 40 + 60

100 – 40 = 60

100 – 60 = 40

6 + 4 = 10

4 +6 = 10

10 – 6 = 4

10 – 4 = 6

10 = 4 + 6

10 = 6 + 4

Did you think of anymore?

Extra challenge

Here are items available in a shop.

Crisps- 40p

Can- 60p

Apple- 20p

Water- 40p

Carton drink- 50p

Pear- 30p

Banana- 10p

Lolly- 70p

Fred has 80p to spend from his pocket money. He buys two things from the shop. Which two things could he buy if he wanted to spend all of his money?

Find all of the possibilities, one has been done for you.

An apple is 20p and a can is 60p. 20p + 60p = 80p.

70p + 10p = 80p

50p + 30p = 80p

60p + 20p = 80p

10p + 70p = 80p

30p + 50p = 80p

40p + 40p = 80p
