Marvellous maths

We have had lots of fun learning about Numberblocks this week. We have ordered numbers and talked about 1 more and 1 fewer.

Well done to Sujaya and Nicolas for creating their own game with the numbers.

Emorie re-created the Numberlocks and talked about how she had made them. ”I had to put one more on each time.”

Mathematicians

Shoutout to Lacey and Macey that extended their own learning during provision today. The girls followed up their maths by drawing numberblocks, writing the numeral to match and discussing one more/fewer.

Numberblocks

I have seen some great maths work this week! The children have been working hard to create numberblock towers to support their learning of one/more less.

How tall am I?

As part of our expedition we have measured ourselves today to see how tall we are. We will measure ourselves at the end of the expedition to see if we have grown.

The school nurse was also in school today and she measured the heights and weights of the children. This fitted really well into our learning.

Who Is The Tallest?

This morning we have been measuring each other and looking at who is the tallest in our class. Once we found the tallest person, we then compared this to the smallest person in our class. At the end of the expedition we are going to measure ourselves again to see how much we have all grown.

Amazing maths

Following a lesson on Numberblocks, Emorie created her own Numberblocks which she shared with the other children. She showed them how to work out 1 more and explained how she had put the lines across to make the right number of blocks.

Well done Emorie

Well done to Esme’ who created Numberblocks on her picture.
