Marvellous Monday

Good morning 6H.

The summer term has finally landed and our new expedition brings us safely back to earth.  We are travelling back in time to an era when the gods ruled the heavens and myths and legends (the stories of old) were written.  Well done to Joshua for responding to my blog challenge…we are going to be studying the Ancient Greeks.

Our new guiding question is ‘What did the Greeks do for us?’

Please remeber to check in daily by typing the day of the week in the corresponding box – I can’t wait to hear from you all.

Maths and English for the week can be found in our classroom, along with your hook week activities.  Be creative.  Be awesome.  Be you.

Mrs H 🙂

School’s back!

Can you hear the bell ringing? School is back and we have a new expedition! Have a look and start the hook week activities. Send some photos if you can as I would love to see what you get up to!

Creative Charlie!

Good morning 6B today is an exciting one as we start our new expedition and I just know you are going to love it! Please remember to check in using the daily check in- let us know how you are feeling and what you’ve been up to, we miss you!

I am so proud of Charlie, look at how he has already immersed himself into our new expedition! It’s great to see such commitment and enthusiasm for learning at home! Please keep it up!

Riddle Me This, Riddle Me That…

It’s time for a little bit of Haycock fun…I hope you’re ready?

Our next expedition begins on Monday…but what will the driving theme be? Below are a couple of clues for you to try and solve.  They should help you to work out what, or who, we will be learning about.  Email me your answers or add them to the classroom stream.

  1.  We have an awful lot to thank the place and time period we will be studying for – including mathematical reasoning and astronomy.
  2. Without those who lived in this location and at this time, the study of medicine might never have ever begun never mind devloped into the amazing life-saving thing that it is today.
  3. This civilisation was ended by the Romans.

Who were they?  Who are we studying?

I await your responses.

Friday is here again

Good morning 6H,

What a strange Easter break it has been! Despite this, I hope you all had the opportunity to spend some quality time together as families.  I know Dominik has – he’s been sending me photographs of himself and Lena doing the Easter challenges and has racked up 50 points!  What stars you both are guys!.

Just to remind you that English, Maths and Theme lessons will go live again on your Google Classroom on Monday, along with daily check ins and critiques.  Please ensure that you login and complete your tasks to the best of your abilities. What will the theme of our new expedition be I wonder…I’ll post some clues on here later today.  Send me your guesses via email or our classroom stream.

When your work is complete either email it or turn it in via Google Classroom, it will then be marked and returned to you by one of the Year 6 team members.

I look forward to hearing for you all again – I miss you all and hope you’re all okay.

Mrs H 🙂
