It’s competition time!

This week we will be having a competition to see who can build the best Tudor House. Yesterday you found out about traditional Tudor Homes and today in our Expedition lesson, we are asking you plan, build and critique your own Tudor House.

You can build it out of anything you want, the choice is yours! You can use old cardboard boxes, Lego, whatever you have available will be perfect.

There are prizes to be won so make sure you email a photo of your Tudor House to your class teacher by Friday 22nd May and Mrs Ogle will then choose a winner from each class.

Good luck everybody, we can’t wait to see what you create!

Mission Control to 6H!

Hi guys,

I hope you all had a great day yesterday.  Sorry about my delay in responding to some of you: I was in school and, as I found out last time I was in school, multitasking + Mrs H = DISASTER!

It is clear that so many of you are working incredibly hard by the amount of work that you are sending me but some of you seem to be forgetting to check in.  Then there are those of you who are regularly checking in but not actually submitting any work to me – don’t worry if you are working on paper copies and have told me this (like Taylor etc) but if you are checking in and not actually doing any learning, could you pretty please (with a cherry on top) at least try to access something to prepare for your potential return in a couple of weeks?

SHOUT OUTS:

Emily – for persevering and submitting great work!

Dominik – for being so reliable at keeping me busy.

Luca and Cailey – for awesome algebra where they found the value for x in questions including:What is the value of x if   6x – 12 = 2x + 20?

You’re all stars!

Have a great day.

Mrs H 🙂

Magical Monday!

Morning I’m going for a magic theme this week for my alliteration so fingers crossed I can think of something for the whole week. Please log on so we know you are out there and complete some of the work tasks. If you want to complete something you might have missed earlier in the shut down that’s fine. Just please do something!!

Pride of Plover

I have two nominations for the Pride of Plover  –

Marley  – for always working hard wherever she is in school or at home. Although we are not in school, she is determined not to lose any learning time. Well done Marley.

Layla  – for working hard even though I know she finds some of the work challenging. Well done Layla and keep going.

It is a pleasure to see both girls working so hard. They could choose to be very little however these girls want to be the best version of themselves they can be.

Feel Good Friday

As always, thank you so much to everyone who gets involved- we love seeing your happy faces! Next week we want to dedicate our video to the NHS and all other key workers so please send in pictures of rainbows, thank you posters, you and your families clapping for the NHS etc (you can be as creative as you like) can we please have all pictures to [email protected] by Friday at 9am.

If you want to be extra creative- have a look at this fabulous signing by Mrs Toyne and share any videos you do to go with our song! click here

Pride of Plover!

Hi 6H,

This week’s Pride of Plover Award goes to someone with the biggest heart I know.

If you are a girl, it could be you!

If you have other siblings who are NOT Plover pupils, it could be you.

If you are awesome but do not believe it, it could be you.

If you are a demon in the dental surgery, it IS you…Aisha!

Well done Aisha – you have tried so hard whilst we have been unable to be in school.  You always follow the instructions that have been left to the letter and despite not being sure at times you always try your absolute best.  I couldn’t be prouder.

Mrs H 🙂

Excellent expedition work!

I am loving your enthusiasm with expedition work! Year 5/6 have had a challenge to create their own Greek God and I have seen lots of amazing examples! The children had to describe what their Greek God would do and I must say I am very impressed with all of your responses!
Remember the deadline for the exercise video is today at 3pm, please send your videos to [email protected]
