Remember to keep sending in your photos!

Look at these superstars! Cailey has been making breakfast for her brothers and Grace has been playing games with her sister! We love seeing what you all get up to as we miss you all so much! Remember to be involved in this weeks video you need to send your pictures in by 4pm Thursday. All you need to do is send us a picture/pictures of things you’ve been up to during lockdown!

Calling all budding artists! J.K. Rowling is inviting you to help illustrate The Ickabog for her. Every day when chapters of the story are uploaded, she will be making suggestions for what you might like to draw or paint to illustrate the story as it goes along. You should let your imagination run wild!

The best bit is, if you are between seven and twelve years old, your parent or guardian on your behalf can enter your drawings or paintings into the official competition being run by J.K. Rowling’s publishers, for a once in a lifetime chance to be featured in The Ickabog book, which is published in November. The competition is now open in the UK!

Details about how to enter, the prize and the terms and conditions are all on the website link below.

Bonjour!

Good morning to everyone – I hope you are all well and enjoying the holiday. Did you see all the people on the beach when the news was shown last night? There was definitely very little social distancing! Remember to keep washing your hands and keep safe.

Fun in the sun!

It’s great to see so many of you getting involved in our holiday challenges! Ruby decided to make her den outside in the lovely sunshine. Cailey has made an awesome cake! Liam and Luke have had a picnic in their garden, completed a huge jigsaw and Skyped their uncle in Australia! A busy day! Please keep sending us your photos, we love to see them!
If any of you fancy taking a closer look into Yorkshire Wildlife Park (I know my class love the animals) check out their YouTube channel for lots of cool videos! https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCRehThdoYRRahD_gGhv5Ubg/

Half Term Checking In

Good morning guys!

I hope you are all well on this beautiful Monday morning.  As today should have been day one of May half term, your online learning is slightly different this week.  In our classroom, you will find an English challenge sheet and a Maths one too.  Please select one activity to do from each sheet per day and email me your work.  You are not expected to complete them all – pick and choose what you’d like to challenge yourself with.

Please remember to check in daily so I can continue to send this information to Mrs Ogle.

Thanks guys and have a great day – or what’s left of it.  I started typing this blog at nine O’clock this morning believe it or not.

Mrs H 🙂

Comment ca va?

I think the lock down has finally struck me! I feel the need to parle francais so bonjour and comment ca va? Good morning and how are you? I hope you are enjoying the sun. I am in school with the key workers children and it seems very strange without the rest of the children here.

Feel Good Friday

Thank you to all key workers, to all our parents/carers and our children for cooperation and hard work during these uncertain times. You have all been amazing! Here is this week’s video!

If anyone missed out, we will be creating a second rainbow video, so please continue to send your pictures in.

Next week, as our school holidays approach, we would like photos/videos of anything and everything you have been up to during our school closure, this can range from home learning, activities in line with social distancing, household family fun, anything at all! Please send your videos to [email protected] no later than Thursday at 3pm.

Stay safe everyone, we miss you!

It’s Yellow T-shirt Time

This week’s Pride of Plover Award goes to a pupil who is desperate to succeed with their learning.

If you are a boy, it could be you.

If you often ask questions to challenge the thinking of others, then it could be you.

If you know that you always try your best to consistently be the best version of you that is possible, then it could be you.

If you regularly coach others – especially Mrs Haycock in Maths – it could be you.

If your name begins with L and ends in a it IS you…well done Luca!

Your maths work this week has been phenomenal – just like it has been all year.  You really deserve this award this week for completing the algebra problems that you were set. You are awesome.

Well done,

Mrs H:)
