A PE Message from Mr Whitfield

Hello,

Obviously in these current times, PE lessons are not how they would usually be! Joe Wicks has been phenomenal with his workout videos.

There are additional things the children can be doing at home too.

The Association for Physical Education (who are a very well known and highly regarded organisation for PE Teachers and Teachers) have put online help for parents to help with PE at home.

If you click the link above it will take you to the Association for Physical Education parental help website.

There are a series of Youtube videos produced for the AfPE that are also available

Clicking on the link above will take you to those support videos.

Have fun! Don’t worry, the most important thing is being active and enjoying physical activity!

Stay safe and take care.

Mr Whitfield

PE and Sports Leader

Good morning 6H

Morning guys,

Hope you’re all well – as always.

It’s story planning time in English today and I cannot wait to hear the ideas that you have come up with.

I hope you are still making time to do a little exercise from time to time – there is a message from Mr Whitfield on its way that he’s asked all teachers to share with their classes – it’ll be in a separate blog post after this one.

Please rememeber to check in daily – loads of you are sending me work and I’m really pleased about this but your check-in sheet makes it a whole lot easier for me to track the information about who is working.

Have a great day guys.

Mrs H 🙂

Awesome work!

Shout out to everyone who has produced VE Day posters, above are some gorgeous examples. I’ve also loved seeing your maths, literacy and expedition work. Luke’s is a great example above and I love that he has critiqued his work!
Please remember to check in online and keep up the hard work!
Todays VE Day challenge is to create some bunting or flags for your home! We can’t wait to see them!
Please remember to email if you need anything!

May the Fourth Be With You!

Sorry about my title for this morning’s post – it just had to be done.

Happy Star Wars day guys!

I hope you all had a great weekend despite someone stealing the sun again!

Everything for this week is in our classroom under the heading WB 04.05.20.

I am not online until Thursday of this week but as always, I will be checking in and should any of you need anything, please feel free to email me as I will also be checking these from time to time too.

Have a great day guys.

Mrs H 🙂

Good morning 5/6

This week we will be setting you mini activities to complete in perpetration of VE Day this Friday! Today, we would like you to undertake some research and create a fancy poster to stick in your windows. Please send them in to your teachers! We will share ours with you too!
Thank you to everyone who shared their PJ pics, you have until the end of the day to send them in (winner announced tomorrow) and please have a read of next weeks video requests. We love to see you getting involved. Enjoy your day, we miss you all!

Rainbow Tree of Thanks

Our children in school have been so busy creating a beautiful tree of thanks to the Key Workers of the NHS.

I’m sure you will agree it is a lovely way to say Thank You and is now in our school entrance.

Feel Good Friday!

Here is this week’s Feel Good Friday- I hope you enjoy it! Thank you again to everyone who gets involved! We have had so many this week and it’s been amazing!

Next week we are treating you to two videos:

  1. This video will include your pictures you send to your teachers wearing your PJ’s and reading books for pyjamarma day!
  2. The second video be a fun exercise video- this can be any form of exercise, running, skipping, playing football, riding a bike, trampolining, dancing etc (be as creative and funny as you like with social distancing in mind) and please get all of your household involved! Shout out to Liam’s mum in 6B for getting involved in this one! All videos to [email protected] by Thursday at 4pm!

Pride of Plover Winner

The time has arrived again to find out who this week’s yellow t-shirt winner will be…

If you’re a boy it could be you.

If you have a younger sister – it could be you.

If you were not overly happy that you were in my class at the start of this school year, it could be you.

If you are called Adam – it IS you!

Well done on a fabulous week young man – your work is always completed to a great standard and I love marking it.

Keep up the hard work.

Mrs H 🙂

Pyjamarama Day!

It’s here at last!

What will you be up to today in your pj’s?  I’m in school and cannot wait for as many of you as possible to join me at 10am for the sharing of a great story.

Oliver caused mayhem in our bathroom as he emptied the washbasket and decided to climb into it for a good read of Harry Potter.

What is the most bizarre location you can think of to read in?

Send in your photos of pj madness.

Tune in later to find out who will get this week’s Pride of Plover Award.

Have a great day.

Mrs H 🙂
