Well done F2S!

A huge well done to everyone today, both children and parents. It’s been our first full day of learning today and I can’t single anyone out as you have all worked so hard. The children in school have enjoyed sharing their classroom with their teddies today and despite wearing their pyjamas all day have been anything but sleepy. I’ve enjoyed seeing all the great learning you have been doing at home too. Your bear pictures are brilliant with some great adjective choices. Thanks to all our parents, supporting children’s learning and persevering with the technology!

Even Roly the dog is enjoying our live lessons!

We are so proud of you all for accessing our live lessons. Even Roly (Jenson’s dog) wanted to join in today! I think Roly loved seeing you all online too! I love receiving photos of you completing your work and seeing so many notifications of you all sumbitting your work on google classroom. Keep up the hard work superstars! We miss you!

Loquacious Live Literacy Lesson

Well, what a turn out we had!!  Well done everyone – it was so great to see so many of you today and your engagement through the chat was both so focused and prompt.  Shout outs to all of you who have submitted your work and a gentle nudge to those of you who haven’t quite done that yet: please send it in!  Apologies for the delay in this post.  I thought I had done it earlier but hadn’t actually pressed ‘publish’.

See you all again tomorrow.

A bear has been in the Foundation 1 classroom!! Oh no!

Children, look what has happened in our role play area when Mrs Renwick and Mrs Melady came to school this morning!

It seems as though a bear had been having a picnic in the bed! There was a terrible mess with muddy paw prints!

He must have come out of our ‘Bear cave’ looking for something to eat!

Don’t forget to send me a picture that you have drawn of your bear, on ‘Evidence Me’. Here are Paisley’s, Ianis’ and Ruby-Ann’s bear pictures. Aren’t they amazing?

Phonics ai

We will start every phonics session with a quick practice of the graphemes and tricky words that we have already covered. For this you will need to click on each of the links below or make your own flashcards to match.

phase 2 graphemes

phase 2 tricky words

phase 3 graphemes

phase 3 tricky words

Today we will be learning to recognise and use the grapheme ‘ai’. Watch the short video below then go on a phonics hunt around your home. Can you find things with the ai sound in them? See if you can write a list of all the ai objects you have found. You might even be able to use some words to write a sentence! Remember to send a photo of your learning to show what you have done.
