We are Historians!

This morning we are being Historians.
Peepo is a story set in the past, when some of your grandparents or great grandparents were children. We are going to find out how things were the same and different. Look at each illustration and find things that were different in the past. Add pictures and labels to your storymap and talk about what you use today.
I’ve looked at the laundry room. I don’t have a laundry room, my clothes are washed in the kitchen. I can see a kettle on the fire and clothes on a clothes horse. In my kitchen, the washing machine makes the water hot and I have a tumble dryer.

Freezing Friday Feeling :)

A massive congratulations and well done to all our children who have engaged in their learning at home and in school!

Keep up the hard work today in all your live remote sessions and we will see you all to have a little Feel Good Friday celebration this afternoon for our Plover Praise 🙂

Feel Good Friday 15th January

Welcome to Feel Good Friday!

Please join us for our Pride of Plover Google meet at 9:15, when we will find out who will get the yellow T-Shirt. Join the call using the link in Google Classroom.

Remember you don’t have to wear school uniform today as we are going to have our first Virtual Disco – children at home and school can join in the fun together – put on your party gear and boogie.

It’s ‘snow’ fun in lockdown!

The snow fell thick and fast today, and we really took the opportunity to enjoy it in school at playtime and lunchtime.

There were snow angels, snowmen and snowball fights galore, and mainly a real feeling of excitement from everyone.

It was great to see the children learning from home go out and enjoy the snow too – even if they did get cold hands.

Let’s hope we get to enjoy it a little while longer.

Please send me any photos of you enjoying the snow so we can share it on our blog.

Today’s Learning :)

Shout out to 1M for continuing to work hard and staying safe today in school, at home and in the snow!

Engagement levels dipped slightly today by a few children at home (I blame the snow)!

But I look forward to having all our 29 children engaged online/in school tomorrow 🙂 as we have lots of fun in store! 🙂

Check out the learning from today

Shout outs!

Well done on another fabulous day of learning Year 4, even with all the distractions of the snow.

My shout outs today go to Ashton (4L) and Anastasija (4G) for working really hard to secure a method for short multiplication. Well done!

See you all tomorrow for another fab day of learning.

Snow has arrived inside the Foundation 1 setting too!

In the Foundation 1 setting the children have been using their fingers to create snowy, winter trees. Don’t they look amazing on the outside door!

Some children used white paint to make a hand print which changed into an beautiful Polar bear! You could try drawing around your hand on white paper at home, cutting it out and adding the face. Send them to me via Evidence Me!

Our snowy scenes are inspiring our creative energy.
