What a wonderful day

I am so proud of F2P. They have settled back into school so well after half term. They have been kind to each other and have been working hard.

Well done to Thomas who wrote his name for the first time today.

I wonder what achievements we will see tomorrow. Keep it up F2P.

Artist Expert Workshop

Thank you to David Smith who is a well known artist from Doncaster. David shared his story and experiences of what he has achieved to become an artist. He then answered questions which the children asked. Before spending time with each KS1 class and teaching them skills on how to draw, use different medians and shade.
Can you guess who we drew?
David and Mr Meade were blown away by the qualities of drawings 1M produced and we look forward to showcasing our art on our final produce poster and postcards!

Refugees and immigration

In Year 4 we have been looking at refugees and immigration. After doing some research we acted out what we think it might be like coming from another country to England.

Factors and Multiples Game

For our collaborative starter in Maths today, we competed against each other in a factors, multiple game. This helped us consolidate our learning in a fun way. We enjoyed it so much that we want to play it again.

Extending learning

Well done to Oscar and Alec for extending their learning today and adding writing to their pictures in provision. Alex also coached Oscar helping him to learn how to write the graphemes correctly.

Well done boys.

Practical Maths

It’s fair to say we were stumped at first. What on Earth does Mrs H want us to do?

After some time exploring and getting to grips with their equipment, all became clear in the end. Well done you six! I hope this made abundant numbers a little clearer for you.

Shout outs to you all!

We are historians!

In expedition today, we have successfully sorted fact from opinion regarding the Moon Landings and we have used different sources to find evidence for and against the argument: Did the Americans really land on the Moon?

I can see this week becoming quite persuasive as we work towards a whole class debate about this on Thursday. We already have some very strong opinions – on both sides on the camp!
