Good morning Key Stage One!

This morning we would all usually be so excited to open our doors and see you after the Easter break. We would start with circle, and listen to all the wonderful things you had been up to! Then we would start with hook week and become really excited about our new topic. Well, even though we can’t see most of you at this time, we absolutely can’t wait to hear about anything you have been doing! We also are going to use this week to get ready for our new topic! Just like in school, you are going to have the opportunity to make lots of exciting things, all linked to our new topic. Our guiding question is, ‘Where does our food come from?’ I wonder what sort of things you think we will be learning about?

Work is going to be posted here, as well as Google Classrooms. If you are working on Classrooms, nothing changes. However, if you are working from the blog, you can now email your work to the online teacher for that day! Until Wednesday, that is me (Miss Topliss) and you can send me work and photos to [email protected]. I look forward to seeing all your hard work! We are still going to be making a product – your teachers have been working really hard behind the scenes with Mrs Ogle and some staff from XP to get ready for this, and we can’t wait to tell you more in the coming weeks!

Miss Topliss

I hope you have all had a well earned rest over the Easter holidays and are all refreshed and recharged ready for more work to be uploaded on Monday. Miss Topliss will be online helping you out on Monday and she will be doing the big reveal of our new expedition.

In Summer Term 2020, Key Stage One will be travelling across the globe! We will be thinking lots about our kitchens and cupboards and the things we might find inside them. We will be having a think about our tummies too and the things we like to fill them with. We will be enjoying a school trip to somewhere that can be very smelly indeed. However, our noses are safe for now because we will be taking our school trip online! I wonder if anyone can guess what it is we will be learning about during Summer Term 2020? Our guiding question will be revealed on Monday, so see you on the blog or Google Classrooms, Monday at 9am, when all will be revealed!

Wow we’ve got some more new skills going on, with Dylan doing a bit of DIY. I think Mr Taylor will be asking you to help him when we get back to school.

Well done Johnny on learning how to ride your bike without any stabilisers. A great time to learn a new skill. Let us know any new things you have learnt to do during your time away from school.
