Tuesday – Well done!

It has been a great day again today and I have seen lots of great work.  Thank you to everyone who logged on today.

I have special shout outs today for Lola in 4G, William in 4W, Shashank in 3P and Phoebe in 3L who wrote excellent autobiographies. This Plover Posse award is for you!

Again I have seen great Maths, good grammar work and wonderful reading comprehension. I’m looking forward to the great work you do tomorrow!

Enjoy the rest of your day! Take care!

Good Morning

Good morning everyone! I hope you are all ok this morning.

There’s lots to do in our classrooms today so make sure you log in and let me know how you are doing.

Today we will be writing a short autobiography which means you get to tell me all about you. We will also continue our learning on measures and be listening to some traditional Tudor music. I wonder… will you like it as much as music from today?

Take care and have a great day!

Weekly Class Hangouts

As we continue to teach a lot of our children online through either ‘Evidence Me’ or ‘Google Classroom’ we would like to extend our contact further by a weekly ‘Google Classroom Hangout’.

Every teacher will host a weekly class catch-up as per the details in the table below.

Please encourage your child to join this as regular contact with their friends and class teacher will help them continue to feel a part of their school community.  This will also support with the the safeguarding monitoring we are required to do during this time.

A new week!

Good morning everyone! I hope you had a good weekend and didn’t get sunburned (unlike me).

There’s lots to look forward to in our online classrooms this week so make sure you log on each day and see what there is to do.  This week we are going to look at the next Tudor Tales book, Measures in Maths and begin to look at Tudor Music. There’s lots of fun to be had!

I hope you all have a great day.

Stay safe and take care!

End of the week

What a wonderful week we have had! I hope that whatever you were doing, you had plenty of fun and remembered to stay safe.

Next week some children will be heading into school and some of you will stay at home but you will all need to log on to our Google Classroom and let me know how you are.  Next week we will continue our Expedition about the Tudors because there’s lots more we still need to learn.  We will start a new Measures unit in Maths and in English we will be looking at Biographies.

Also next week, will have an online Google Meet where you will be able to catch up with your class teacher. I’m sure that like me, Mr Pickering is also looking forward to seeing you!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Enjoy the sunshine and take care!

See you on Monday!

Friday

Where has the week gone? It’s Friday already!

Thank you to everyone who has checked in  this week, please make sure you log on today and let me know how you are.

Today the Pride of Plover winner will be announced.  Who will it be….?

Half way.

Good morning 3P. Half way through the week already – time is moving too quickly.

You may have seen that JK Rowling released her first non-Harry Potter based book yesterday called The Ickabog. Check out the website now and maybe have a go at the competition as well whilst you are there. The Ickabog

The weather also continues to be lovely today so please make sure that you are sun safe. Wear sun cream, a hat and make sure you get plenty of a water and shade. Enjoy safely!

Have a great day.

Calling all budding artists! J.K. Rowling is inviting you to help illustrate The Ickabog for her. Every day when chapters of the story are uploaded, she will be making suggestions for what you might like to draw or paint to illustrate the story as it goes along. You should let your imagination run wild!

The best bit is, if you are between seven and twelve years old, your parent or guardian on your behalf can enter your drawings or paintings into the official competition being run by J.K. Rowling’s publishers, for a once in a lifetime chance to be featured in The Ickabog book, which is published in November. The competition is now open in the UK!

Details about how to enter, the prize and the terms and conditions are all on the website link below.
