Home learning

Not only have 4F been working hard in school, they have also been busy at home! Thank you for sharing your home learning with the class, we definitely have some green fingered gardners and budding architects in the building!

LKS2 Shout Out!

Well done to all the children in Year 3 and 4 this week. You have worked so incredibly hard, fitting in the learning that was planned to be covered over four days into the 3 days we had this week.

I have seen how hard you have worked on your final write and I am looking forward to reading some more in more detail.

You have really demonstrated how much you have learnt in your World War 2 expedition so far.

Well done and keep up the hard work!!

Year 3 and 4 PE

For your information, Year 4 PE will usually be held on Monday and Year 3 PE will usually be held on Wednesday.

There may be times when these days have to change ( due to weather, extra PE sessions or other unforeseen circumstances), so please could children bring their PE kits to school on Monday and leave in school until Friday.

It also helps us greatly if all items of PE clothing (and footwear) are labelled with the child’s name.

Thanks for your support

Rugby World Cup Tickets

Good Evening

We have a fantastic opportunity for 10 of our Plover children to be flag bearers and parade around the Eco Power pitch for the opening game of the Rugby League World Cup!

·       The first fixture at the Eco Power Stadium, which will take place on Monday 17th October, France Vs Greece, 7.30pm kick off. This is the game that we plan on celebrating the success of the RLWC2021 Legacy program that our school has been a part of. We are encouraging as many children to attend this fixture with friends, family, parents and school friends. The Flag Parade will take place 30/40 mins before kick off!

·        Parents will be able to pay for tickets on ParentPay for themselves and their children. We are keeping a track on quantities so tickets can be bought together and all the Plover Crew sit together for this amazing experience!

It would be amazing for as many Plover children and families to experience this once in a life time sporting opportunity. We ask that every child attending has a parent/guardian with them. Mr Meade and another member of Plover staff will be there to meet you all.

Any questions email [email protected] or speak to the office! The deadline for tickets is next Friday 16th September! #LovePover

Wilderspin trip

LKS2 have enjoyed the trip to Wilderspin school this week. The children experienced what life was like for evacuee children in the 1940s, as they were taken back in time to WWII! During our trip, we toured the streets for our new host families, attended school and took cover in a near by air raid shelter.

Hook week

4F have had a fantastic first week back at school. We have kick started this academic year with hook week, family learning and sports day, as well as welcoming Cameron into our class. Everyone has worked hard and taken everything in their stride, we have certainly started the year as we mean to go on.

Apologies for the late post – technical difficulties

Plover pantry 💙

The Plover pantry is on weekly from 9am tomorrow. We will also have a variety of fruit and vegetables as well as free tea and coffee. We hope to see you there!
