Today in Crew 2LP for We Care Wednesday, we read a story about the importance of kindness. After reading the story we came up with ideas for our own kindness poem. We were reminded that showing kindness can be as easy as remembering and using people’s names and how a small act of kindness could spread to others who in turn would spread an act of kindness even further.

a cuddly kitten
it makes you warm and cozy

a trampoline
bouncing happiness to each other
Kindness is
lego bricks
building friendships that last forever
Kindness is
sharing sweets
because caring is sharing
Congratulations to Minnie who was our Pride of Plover winner, well done Minnie, you are a superstar everyday and you always follow the Plover Pledge.
Our England Rocks winners were Charlotte, Rayyan and George, congratulations guys, you did great! Keep practising your times tables everyone, you’re doing brilliantly so far.

This week in Crew LP we have been learning about the importance of friends and the importance of kind words. I couldn’t be prouder of my Crew. They have such empathy with others and have shown great understanding of the effects of bullying and the importance of working together. Great job guys!

Wednesday’s Maths Challenge Solution
World Cup Puzzle
There are 6 teams in a group. Each team plays every other team twice. How many games are there in total?
Answer = 30 games
This week Y2 have been busy making catapults with skewers and marshmallows and today we were busy testing and evaluating how successful and purposeful they were.
We made sure to make it a fair test and we used a metre stick, dienes and our maths skills to measure how far our pom pom projectiles went. We had such a great time!
