Phonics meeting

Good Evening Y1 Crew

Just a reminder that tomorrow afternoon (Wednesday 12th October) at 2.30pm we will be having a parents phonics session in the hall.

This is just to make you aware of phonics -what it is, what we do, what the children do and how you can help with reading, spelling and writing.

Thanks

Mrs Bubb and Mr Meade

We are story tellers!

In our collaborative work we can…. act out the story of The three Little Pigs using story language. We can sequence the story.

Watch this space for a video of us retelling the whole story at the end of the week!

Celebrate!

Regan worked hard and had kind hands! Blake always works hard! Regan spotted someone who is always kind- Zuzanna! What a happy Friday we had. X

We are scientists!

Today we used our observations and ideas to answer the question from the little knight, ‘What is the strongest material to build a castle that cannot be knocked down by the big bad dragon?’ We made predictions, tested our idea out and told the little Knight which material was best. Miss Blackham loved our lesson when she popped in!

Autumn Handwriting Competition

Choose a poem that is appropriate to your age.

Copy out the poem with beautiful handwriting and presentation.

Give your poem to Mrs Graves by the end of Tuesday 11th October.

I can’t wait to see your wonderful work!

Mrs Graves

Champion!

Zuzanna joined her friends from ARC-HI at the bowling alley this morning. Our lovely Zuzanna came 3rd! She was so proud of her medal and so were we!

More postcards!

Lita has been modelling good sitting and listening on the carpet. Reign has been working so hard in all his learning and I can see great improvements!
