Well done to Riley for winning a Plover Praise postcard for working hard on his writing and for doing great counting.
1M children were great at counting within 10 and representing this with manipulatives.
Then in read the children were acting out their shared reader “On The Train to Troon” #LovePlover
The Plover pantry is on weekly from 9am tomorrow. We will also have a variety of fruit and vegetables as well as free tea and coffee. We hope to see you there!

1M worked collaboratively to identify and label parts of a Motte and Bailey castle. Plover praise card shout outs to Lucas and Sulieman who reached green and wrote an explanation about parts of a castle! #LovePlover
This year the children will be learning FFT Success For All Phonics. Each day they will read a phonics book in class. The children will have access to this book at home electronically. This can be read on any kind of device by scanning a QR code.
The children will bring a slip home with their QR code on a Tuesday with their reading for pleasure book.

1M today completed their entry ticket for expedition, then learnt about what a castle is. “It is a big place made by stone and it is where Kings and Queens live.” They showed great collaboration to make the castle puzzles! #LovePlover

Today, KS1 welcomed a dangerous predator to the school. The children discussed how they could save the castles from the dastardly dragon!
1M have had such an incredible day! Started with Pride of Plover, then our Friday dance before something mind blowing happened… DEREK THE DRAGON! (I will let the children explain what we have explored).
After, the children have been busy making dragon eggs, sponges painting our stone castle, drawing dragons, making dragons and talking about where dragons might go! #LovePlover
