School Dinners

All children in Foundation Stage 2, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a universal infant free school meal. This will be at no cost to parents.

Children in KS2 (Years 3,4,5 & 6) a school meal will cost £2.35 per day / £11.75 per week. We operate a cashless catering service and our parents are required to make payment using Parentpay, a secure online payment system. For those parents who are unable to pay online, we can also order a Paypoint card which allows cash payments to be made in local participating Paypoint stores.

if you think your family is eligible for free school meals you must apply on line, this link will direct you to the DMBC website to complete your application. We encourage all our families to apply even in our Reception and KS1 classes.

For those without internet access you can pick up an application form from the school office to complete and we will scan this to the benefits team at DMBC for assessment on your behalf.

The Cook-in Charge and her staff prepare first class dinners and we will provide a menu in the school reception area weekly. If you have any concerns about food preparation or presentation please contact school and we will arrange a visit for you to see the excellent standards achieved.  We insist on good table manners and correct social behaviour in the dining hall.

Every morning children will be given the option of which meal choice they would prefer for their lunch that day and they will do this by choosing a coloured band. This enables our kitchen to prepare exact quantities of orders therefore reducing food waste and ensuring a better provision for all.

The menu works on a 3-week cycle and be viewed below.
