Over the past few months, the television and news have been filled with lots of scary stories. It has been important to understand what we must do to make sure we stay safe, but at the same time it may have started us thinking about difficult questions that can lead to big worries.

These worries are called the ‘What If Monsters’ and for some of us, these they are starting to affect how we feel, how we behave and how we act. We may be getting upset or angry more easily, we may be speaking to our grown-ups differently to how we did before, we may not want to do anything or go anywhere – all because of the What if Monsters,

The good news is that we can beat the What If Monsters  – we will always have questions, and that’s OK, but there are lots of things we can do to prevent the questions from becoming BIG worries.

Log in to the school website and have a look at this Google Slides to find out how you can beat the What If Monsters:

A busy Thursday!

Well I hope you enjoyed the play of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.  It was lovely to hear so many lovely comments about it.  There are other Shakespeare plays on the BBC iPlayer, so maybe you could watch one of those if you can. A perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon.

Again I have seen some brilliant work, but today I am giving the Plover Posse Award for beautiful manners.  No matter the task, these children always respond with lovely manners. Well done Lola, Ksawery, Syithan, Agrima and Shyaw.  This Plover Posse Award is for you!

I hope you all enjoy what’s left of this rainy day and with any luck the sun will be back out tomorrow…I’m a little bit doubtful!

Well done to Amelia this week, she is our weekly Pride of Plover winner. She has really engaged with her online learning this week and it has been lovely to see how she has challenged herself. Keep it up! Well done!

Wednesday Morning

Good Morning everyone!

I want to start today with a big shout out for Bethannie, Corey, Dalton and Ashton for their wonderful biographies of William Shakespeare. They worked so very hard and produced great work. Well done to the four of you! This Plover Posse Award is for you!

There’s lots to do in our online classrooms today so head over there to find out more. Make sure you complete the daily feelings check in and don’t forget today we would like you to continue with your Tudor portraits. If you have done one, maybe you could do another in a different style? So far we’ve got Henry VIII, Mary I, William Shakespeare, Sir Francis Drake,  Elizabeth 1…who are you going to do?

Have a great day everyone!

Watch out Hans Holbein!

It’s been another great day in our online classrooms. Everyone has been trying so hard.

Some children have already completed their Tudor Portraits ready for our Gallery Exhibition. Shout outs go to Lola, Mohamad, Nik and Amelia for their excellent work. Make sure you send any portraits you have completed to [email protected] or upload them to the Google Classroom.

A special shout out goes to William in 4W for his excellent biography of William Shakespeare.  He persevered, edited his work and handed in a wonderful final draft. Well done William, I loved reading your work. This Plover Posse Award goes to you!

I’m looking forward to seeing you tomorrow and seeing what other super portraits you create. I hope you all have a great afternoon.

Stay safe everyone!

Good morning!

Good morning everyone!

I hope you are all ok and you had a great evening.

Make sure you log on and let me know how you are doing today. Again we are continuing our grammar work on pronouns, our biography of William Shakespeare and multiplication and division in Maths. In Expedition today we’d like you to recreate a Tudor Portrait using any thing you have at home. It could be felt tips, pencils, paints or collage materials. This will (hopefully) take you the rest of the week to complete because it needs to be of a really high quality ready for our Gallery Exhibition. There’s no need to rush it!

I hope you have a wonderful day! Take care!

I hope you have a wonderful afternoon! I’m looking forward to hearing from you tomorrow.

Take care!
