Great learning.

Well done 3P and 3L, there has been some brilliant learning today.

A couple of examples to shout out are the tremendous graph work completed by Shyaw, Layla, Nikita, Zetynep, Troy and Shena. There has been an excellent book review from Liam and also good examples of arithmetic fluency from Felicity and Shashank.

Troy used chocolate to bake these tasty-looking buns and Alfie also sent in some stunning examples of Maya inspired home baking and music – truly awesome! Well done to everyone for today and I will see you all again tomorrow.

School Meal Vouchers

It is very likely that soon we will be moving to a school meal voucher system to replace the cold packed lunches that we are currently offering, as we will not have dinner staff on site.

School meal vouchers will be issued to anyone currently entitled to Free School Meals.

If you feel that you may be entitled to a Free School Meal, but have never applied, please don’t worry, it is not too late!

Applications can be made online via the link below and you will get an instant response if you are eligible. You will need your own name and date of birth, contact details, national insurance number or national asylum seekers number, your child’s name and date of birth, and the name of our school, Plover Primary.

If you are eligible, please either email or bring proof into school (can be on your mobile phone) and we will process your request.

If you need any help with the application, please contact school and someone will be available to support you.

Week 2!

Welcome back to another great week of learning opportunities at home.

Last week has been a huge learning curve as we have all tried to grapple with new software and technology to help us to learn at home – including me! There are sure to be more hiccups along the way but I hope that I have ironed out even more of the creases that we found last week. Good learners are resilient and perseverant and that includes now as much as ever.

Remember to use your school login details to access the classroom and please complete the check-in task so that I know you have been online.

You can also do Read Theory or TTRockstars if you wish to. Remember that I will run the certificates for TTRockstars on Tuesday – can you get one this week?

Have a great day!

Time for the weekend

I just wanted to shout out all the children who have been online and accessed learning from our Google Classrooms.  I am so proud of you all for wanting to challenge yourselves even though we aren’t in the school building. You all deserve the Plover Posse Postcard so if you’ve been online this week, this postcard is for you!

If you are not accessing the Google Classroom and you are busy working through your pack, I hope you’re enjoying it. I’m looking forward to seeing what you have done when we can finally all go back to school.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.  Remember to keep washing your hands and I’m looking forward to seeing you next week. Keep safe!

Friday 27th March

Morning Year 3!

Remember to log in to the Google Class Room and complete today’s online learning. Don’t forget you can do other learning on Rockstars, Read Theory and Epic too.

A big shout out to Layla who created this wonderful idea for a new chocolate bar and also Phoebe who has been working her socks off!

Another busy day

What another great day!

Big shout outs go to all of those in Year 3 who have logged on to the Classroom and have been busy.  There has been some great art work from Ashton, great descriptions from Nikita, Phoebe and Esther and super Maths from Troy, Shena and Zeyneb. Keep up the great work everyone!

Use this time to try new things. Listen to new music, watch a classic movie or try a book from a new author. You never know what you might find out about yourself!

Take care, remember to wash your hands and get your daily exercise.

See you all again tomorrow!

Mrs Lewis

Celebrations.

More great work from Alfie and Esther today and it was also nice to see Shashank showing some greast math’s skills. Jamilia wrote some excellent sentences about Charlie Bucket and so did Esther.

Remember to keep checking in daily and use TTRockstars and Readtheory to keep those skills nice and polished.

Have a great evening and hope you all get in tomorrow. If you speak with your friends, make sure you tell them to log in to classroom if they haven’t already done so. We are missing too many people! Let’s have a big push to get more people learning online together.

Keep safe and wash those hands!

Day 3

Good morning 3P. Another fabulous morning to enjoy from home.

I’m hoping to see even more people logging in today (using your school email) and making sure that you at least complete the feelings check in.

There are a lot of activities planned in for today. Try and complete as many as you can. Look at the post on my blog that shows you step by step how to access your learning and how to hand it in correctly.

Remember you can upload attachments of photos or videos to each of your assignments for me to see. You c!an also send me these for any other learning you have done at home.

Finally, click on the link to find who have been the top 3 most improved accuracy users on TTRockstars in the last week. Fabulous work guys!

TTRockstars 25th March

Have a great day!

Another day done!

Thank you to everyone who checked in today. It hasn’t been as busy with completed learning today so please remember to click ‘hand in’ when you have finished learning. There is a guide on the blog to show you how to get your learning for each task. I would love to see more people tomorrow!

There has been more great learning from Troy and Zeynep in maths today as well as excellent answers in the reading comprehension from Bradley. Esther and Harper also popped in to do some great learning.

If you want even more free online resources to use, just check out Miss Blackham’s class blog which has a huge list you can use. Take pictures of videos of you learning at home and send them to me so that we can share them with each other.

Stay safe, wash your hands, and keep yourself at home. You have at least 3 more weeks of being at home so make the most of it!

Have a great evening.
