Meet Your New Teacher!

As this school year comes to an end, we start to think ahead to next year. Our children have been informed who their teacher is going to be next year, had the chance to find out a little bit about them and are hopefully writing about themselves to share with their new teacher.

School restrictions during Covid-19 have made it impossible to complete the transition activities we would normally put in place to support your child with their move to their new class, however we would like to offer all children the opportunity to meet with their new children ‘virtually’.

We have arranged Google Meets on Thursday and Friday with all of our teachers. We have tried where possible to offer two times to avoid clashing times with classes and to provide some choice – children do not need to join both Google Meets.

Meeting joining codes will be shared via email and Google classroom.

It’s either exhaustion or delirium!

The end is in sight and I am beginning to get excited about the holidays getting closer. It has been great to see some of you on the hangouts and please keep an eye open for your new teacher hangouts.

Leavers hoodies update

Good morning, we are keeping everything crossed that leavers hoodies will be here on Wednesday for the children to collect. The company have emailed to say there have been some delays due to the current situation. All I can do is apologise and assure you we will sort arrangements to ensure the children receive them as soon as they do arrive. We have sorted them a little treat to hopefully make up for it whilst we wait. Thank you all for your patience and I can’t wait to see you all on Wednesday at 1:30pm. Please don’t forget your picnic, blankets and your shirts to sign!

It’s your last week in primary school!

I can’t believe how quickly this week has come around and it’s your last week in primary school! I wanted to share a poem with our Year 6 crew today, have a little read and I hope you enjoy it!
Tomorrow/Wednesday please check our blog for your leavers videos- there will be a few and for any updates on Wednesdays celebrations.
It’s not the leavers celebrations we hoped for you but we are going to make it as special as possible. This week there will be no maths and instead lots of fun activities for you to get involved with to mark your last week in primary school!
We’d like all year 6 to join us TOMORROW at 1:30pm through google hangout for a fun scavenger hunt- check your emails for an invite!
It leaves me to say enjoy your very last Monday of primary school!

End of the week

It’s the end of the week and what a busy one it has been!

Another day with wonderful work and children challenging themselves to do their best. Well done to you all!

I’ve seen great work from Cole, Amelia, Riley, Arwa, Dalton, Alesha and Nastazja and lots of you have again been earning Knowledge Points and improving your speed and accuracy on TTRockstars. Well done!

I hope the weather is good for us this weekend and you all have lots of fun.

I’ll see you on Monday for our final week in Y3 and Y4.

Take care!

Pride of Plover Time!

Who wins this week’s virtual yellow t-shirt?

Aisha it is you!

I have chosen you this week for beginning to find your confidence again having been back in school recently.

And for making me smile every day – you’re so kind, inside and out.

Well done Aisha!

Mrs H 🙂

Friday 10th July 2020

Morning 6H!

This is a bit of a final plea for those of you who have not yet sent in photographs of yourself from the start of your primary years and a more recent one as you leave Year 6.  In addition, if you wish to be part of the Year 6 Amarillo video compilation, we also need these by 4pm today.  Please email both photographs and videos to [email protected]

Thank you to those of you who have already done this.

Have a wonderful day everyone and check back here at half past nine to see who has won this week’s virtual yellow t-shirt.

Mrs H 🙂

Good morning!

Well Friday has arrived and there’s only more week to go.

Today we’ll be busy again in our online classrooms so head on over and make sure you let me know how you feel before making a start.

I have seen excellent perseverance, children challenging themselves on a daily basis and children who are motivated to learn even when they are not at school. I know it’s been unusual and hard to do your learning in such a new way but we are all very proud of each and every one of you. Keep it up, one more week to go!

Have a great Friday everyone!
