Plover Praise!

I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. We are already getting excited for our Halloween party on Thursday! We spent our plover praise Friday making decorations. Children who normally go to club can either go home first and get changed or stay and we can help them get changed into their outfits. The party will be 4 till 5. Remember to bring in your £2 if you haven’t already and hand to me.

See you tomorrow for our spooky last week before half term!

Exploring clay

Today we have started making Diva lamps ready for Diwali. The children enjoyed using their fine motor skills to make the clay pots. They enjoyed throwing it on the table, squashing and rolling it. When the pots were large enough for the candle, the children squeezed the end, smoothed the sides and made circles on the sides ready for painting.

We will paint them when they are dry. I am sure they will look beautiful.

Pride of plover

This weeks pride of Plover has gone to Hilihang. Although Hilihang hasn’t been at Plover for long, he has been a wonderful addition to the school. He is always working hard, getting smart and being kind. Miss Wood and I have also been very impressed with his amazing maths work.
Well done Hilihang!

Diwali Diya Lamps

Today in F2 we made our very own Diya lamps out of clay. The children practiced their fine motor skills as they pinched and squeezed the clay to make it into a bowl like shape. We are very excited to paint them next week and place a candle inside.

Pride of Plover

A huge well done to our yellow T-shirt winner, Ines, today. Ines is a pleasure to have in the F2W crew, she is always kind to her peers and works very hard.

Shoutout to everyone else who also received a postcard today. Keep up the amazing work.

Diwali

We have enjoyed hearing, and role playing, the story of Rama and Sita today. We have dressed up and used masks to retell the story. We used salt dough to make a diva lamp that we will decorate next week.

Pride of Plover

Well done Amelia, you’re this week’s Pride of Plover. You’ve produced some great work this week and your attitude to learning, particularly in Maths, has been superb. Keep it up! #LovePlover
