Students in Year 2, 3, 4 and 5 have an amazing opportunity to become a Digital Leader within their class.
This is a fantastic opportunity for children to develop their own individual skills when it comes to the latest technology. Children who are successful will get the opportunity to visit XP East and potentially the Apple Store to have further training on how to use technology including iPads, MacBooks and some of the other great products that are used throughout school. Our Digital Leaders will then become the experts who can then pass on their knowledge to others.
Below is a link to the Digital Leaders website where you can find out further information.

Applications will need to be sent to Miss Lotysz by Thursday 3rd February explaining why you would make a fantastic Digital Leader. This can be done in a format of your choice including a letter, slides or even a video showcasing your IT skills.
We look forward to receiving your applications!
Following on from this morning’s assembly, here is the Digital Leaders website to gather information to help you apply for the role.

Don’t forget, all applications need to be handed in by Thursday 3rd February and I will be looking for 2 children out of each class in Years 2-5. Make your applications as appealing and as creative as possible.

Our new Ambassadors had an exciting morning visiting XP East, where they had a tour of the school from their experienced school ambassadors. Our pupils really enjoyed the visit, the XP pupils were amazing and taught us how to make a tour interesting and fun. We can’t wait to start to show visitors around our school. Obviously, our first visitors will be XP East as we want them to critique our skills!

Y3 & Y4 children, have thoroughly enjoyed playing playground games at dinner time over the last two days with Mr Meade and Miss Belk.

LKS2 have had a fantastic day at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park.
This is the first ever event that has brought all the XP Primary Schools together, and we had to mark the moment with a photo – of course!
We started by visiting the first Polar Bears area and then walked round to the second Project Polar enclosure to see the young Polar Bears. They were very active eating their breakfast and playing in the water.
On our walk round, we were lucky enough to see tigers, giraffes, and rhinos.
After a quick lunch, we had a workshop all about polar bears and got to hold a real claw and see the size of a polar bear skull. Ara even demonstrated for us what it was like to be a polar bear.
Following that we set off to the new area of the park and saw sea lions, monkeys and red pandas.
We got back on the bus with achy legs but lots of great memories!
I was very proud of all our children today – they walked all day without moaning, participated brilliantly in the workshops and used their manners all the time – well done guys!

4BW have had an amazing time on their trip to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. We explored the park and spotted some polar bears as well as other animals. We also engaged in workshop activities all about polar bears and how we can help protect them in the wild. Although I’m sure they’re all shattered, they should be very proud of how well they behaved.

A big well done to Melinda today for working hard and persevering in maths. Such a lovely character to have in class and she really has become a brilliant addition to our Crew since she joined us.

Good afternoon,
Children and staff are really looking forward to the trip on Thursday. During our trip, please can we stress that children are to be in school uniform. However, children will need to wear appropriate outdoor footwear as we will be outside most of the day. It is due to rain so even if children wear wellies, this is absolutely fine, along with an appropriate (or waterproof) coat. Court shoes for the girls will not be appropriate. Any questions, please ask.
Thank you,
Year 3/4 Teachers.

Good afternoon,
Just a quick note to inform parents and carers. Year 4 P.E day remains a Wednesday for this half term. Please can children ensure they always have a P.E kit on that day as we had lots of children who consistently had no kit last term. This will be indoor P.E so correct kit needs to include appropriate indoor footwear (separate to school shoes), a white T-shirt and navy shorts.
Thank you,
Miss Wood and Miss Lotysz.
