Good afternoon KS1 Crew,
Just a little reminder that it is KS1’s celebration of learning this afternoon at 2pm. The children will talk about the expedition, show their work and reveal their final product! There will also be a guest speaker from Greenpeace and a raffle.
Please come through the main office, where you will be required to sign in and greeted with snacks and refreshments.
We look forward to seeing as many parents as possible!

1M have had double maths today and been awesome mathematicians! First we learnt about what length and height is. Then we have been measuring using non-standard units (hands, feet and bodies). Finally, we started using standard units of measure like rulers.

Thank you 2B for your fantastic art skills, along with 2K’s dolphins, our final product is looking fantastic! I can’t wait to show our special guests at our celebration of learning on Thursday!
In English today we used a ‘fishbone’ to pull out features we want to include in our final write this week. We worked together to come up with some creative and ambitious ideas and then used it to begin our first draft! Tomorrow we will be critiquing. Well done 2B.

1N were artivists today and finished off their alive and dead jellyfish, the sculptures on our final product are looking beautiful! #LovePlover
The amazing artist Hasty drew the outlines of our 1M clownfish for our final product. Then all children in 1M started manipulating the plastic bottle lids to create our collage!

Today we did an art gallery walk using the protocol ‘ silent conversation’. Our children observed the art and then wrote down what the saw and how the art made them feel. 1N you were awesome at the silent conversation. We then finished our learning looking at different techniques to use, ready for completing our final product. Crew to each of you as you all worked so hard!
