End of the day – Monday

What a busy day we have had in our online classrooms! There has been excellent work in each class and it’s been great to see and read.

Shout outs today go to William, Shashank, Agrima and Alfie M for their excellent setting descriptions and Shyaw, Bethannie and Alesha for their excellent reasoning and problem solving in Maths. This Plover Posse Award is for you today.

I hope you’ve all had a wonderful day, I hope you can get outside and enjoy some of the sunshine that’s left.

See you in the morning, take care!

Good morning! Another week ahead…

Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend and enjoyed the sunshine.  I think it’s supposed to stay hot for the next few day so make sure you have your sun cream on so you don’t get burnt (unlike me).

We’ve got another busy week ahead. We’ll be looking at A Midsummer Night’s Dream  in our English and Expedition learning so make sure you have watched the performance because you will need to know about the setting and characters.  We’re carrying on with our multiplication learning in Maths, pronouns in grammar and we will complete the fourth Tudor Tales book.  There is lots to do so make sure you head on over to our Online Classrooms and let me know how you are today before you start your learning.

I hope you all have a great day!

Stay safe.

The end of the week

What a great way to end the week. It has been a brilliant day and I have seen lots of excellent work.

Shout outs go to Lola and Mohamad for their excellent biographies of William Shakespeare, they really were a treat to read.  Shout outs also go to Esther and Shyaw for their work on the What if Monsters and William for his outstanding review of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Nik, Ashton, Dalton, Junior and Bethannie have also done some great designs for their own Coat of Arms. Well done to all of you. This Plover Posse Award is for you!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend and the sunshine comes out for us all.

Take care and stay safe everyone.  See you on Monday!

Class Meet

Good morning 3P!

Another week has raced by and we get the chance to have our weekly, virtual get-together. I’m looking forward to catching up with you again and hearing what you have been up to this week. I have added the link below for you to join us but remember that it will only be there until the meeting ends! Tell any classmates that you have contact with to come and join us at 9.30am this morning. See you all shortly!

EDIT: It was brilliant as always to see you again this morning and even better still for seeing some new faces! I’m pleased that you are all doing well and hope you have a great weekend. Next week’s meeting will be slightly earlier at 9.15am so spread the word with your classmates. See you next week!

Friday feeling

Good morning everyone, it’s Friday!

We’ve had such a busy week and it’s almost over! As usual there is lots of learning to enjoy in our online classrooms so make sure you head on over and let me know how you are feeling before you make a start.

Today is the last day for our Tudor Portraits so make sure you attach them to your Expedition work on Google Slides and ‘hand them in’ or email them to me at [email protected]. I’m looking forward to seeing what you have come up with.

It’s the last chance of the week to earn a Plover Posse Award. I wonder who will it be today?

I hope you all have a great day!

Over the past few months, the television and news have been filled with lots of scary stories. It has been important to understand what we must do to make sure we stay safe, but at the same time it may have started us thinking about difficult questions that can lead to big worries.

These worries are called the ‘What If Monsters’ and for some of us, these they are starting to affect how we feel, how we behave and how we act. We may be getting upset or angry more easily, we may be speaking to our grown-ups differently to how we did before, we may not want to do anything or go anywhere – all because of the What if Monsters,

The good news is that we can beat the What If Monsters  – we will always have questions, and that’s OK, but there are lots of things we can do to prevent the questions from becoming BIG worries.

Log in to the school website and have a look at this Google Slides to find out how you can beat the What If Monsters:

If your grown ups would like the link, please ask them to email Mrs Graves on [email protected] for the Google Slides and activities.

A busy Thursday!

Well I hope you enjoyed the play of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.  It was lovely to hear so many lovely comments about it.  There are other Shakespeare plays on the BBC iPlayer, so maybe you could watch one of those if you can. A perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon.

Again I have seen some brilliant work, but today I am giving the Plover Posse Award for beautiful manners.  No matter the task, these children always respond with lovely manners. Well done Lola, Ksawery, Syithan, Agrima and Shyaw.  This Plover Posse Award is for you!

I hope you all enjoy what’s left of this rainy day and with any luck the sun will be back out tomorrow…I’m a little bit doubtful!

Good morning! Thursday

Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful evening.

Make sure you log on to our Google Classroom and let me know how you are feeling. There’s lots of learning to enjoy and today we are going to look at one of William Shakespeare’s most famous plays, A Midsummer’s Night Dream.

I wonder who is going to win the Plover Posse Postcard today…..

I hope you have a great day!

Have a great day everyone!
