Funky Phonics

Yesterday, we started our funky phonics club. It was just lovely! We played games, finger painted and played games on the ipad. If you missed it this week, be sure to come next week. (You will have got an invite from Mrs Bubb with details if you should come).

Easter raffle!

We will be holding an Easter raffle to raise funds for Year 6 leavers hoodies and the London trip. Any donations of Easter eggs would be HUGELY appreciated and tickets will be on sale every afternoon at 2:40pm for 50p a strip. The raffle will be drawn on Thirsday 23rd March at the Plover pantry💙

Spring Handwriting Competition

You produced such lovely poems when we held our Autumn handwriting competition, I thought it would be a good idea to update our display with poems that reflect the coming season – Spring.

Choose an appropriate poem from the selection attached to this blog and copy it out beautifully, using your best handwriting and presentation.

You can decorate it and use colour if you wish.

Please give completed poems to Mrs Graves by Monday 6th March.

Tasty Tuesday!

Today, we welcomed our experts. They taught us how to cook and all about the ingredients and where they come from. A company called ‘Ladies in Pigs’ helped us learn about British farming. We made pizzas with delicious crispy bacon 🥓 Some of us did a cooking workshop with our school Cook and made a delicious pasta. We all really enjoyed our afternoon and will be doing lots of work on Design Technology over the coming weeks as we learn about food in case study 3. *Look out for recipes in our goody bags that we will bring home tomorrow * Don’t forget you can get food from our plover Pantry every Thursday too! 😀

What an amazing day we had in Year 1! Observational paintings of fruit, drawing tutorials of fruit, blind taste testing, dancing! It’s been a great way to start this half term. So many great Howls today too!!!! Well done Year 1 Crew!
