Julita has been using her phonics knowledge to correct and improve her spellings in English today. I love your resilience and perseverance Julita. Well done!
Who knew that Mrs Haycock could spin on the spot for so long without falling over? Never mind spin and orbit a table at the same time! Using demonstrations and a variety of video clips, 6H have built background knowledge so they can design an enquiry which would answer the question: Why do we have night and day?
I cannot wait until tomorrow so they can put their enquiries into action.

Mrs Haycock and I are so excited for Stargazing tonight. I wonder if we will be able to see a constellation or even a planet. Don’t forget your warm clothes.
What a lovely day we had on Monday at Murton Park and we were very lucky with the weather! The children were really well behaved and all received 10 crew coins when they got back to school.

So far we have been having a great time although the Viking Lord of Murton Park has been keeping us very busy with lots of jobs – baking bread, guarding, farMing and pottery?
We have eaten our lunch and we are just getting ready to go to work again!
The children were very excited this morning to have a party. Many of them chose excited in feelings time in morning crew.
They made sandwiches practicing spreading butter and jam and cutting the bread, writing their name to create a label and following instructions. Then it was party time!

We had a fantastic time and are ready to learn about what people celebrate during our expedition.

Today we have been using our bodies as instruments to create pulse, beat and rhythm ready for our third case study. We had a blast finding the pulse to a different range of music. We also recapped key musical terms such as timbre and structure.

I loved seeing your superhero costumes today 2B! We’ve had a fab day. Remember tomorrow is dress as a real life superhero, think doctors/nurses/firefighters/soldiers. We have a very special guest coming in to talk to us tomorrow, he’s a real life hero from Doncaster and we are very honoured to have him in school!
We will be changing reading books on Mondays/ Wednesdays and Fridays. I’m sorry children and parents I forget to send them home today! I will put a reminder on my desk because they definitely need to go home this weekend!
Shout out to all the children who have earned postcards so far this term! I’ve also made a pledge to the children (because I keep getting names wrong) that every time I get a name wrong I will make a tally and when I get to 28 I will get some sweets! But they need to be super smart in class otherwise I remove a point. Be on your best behaviour tomorrow 2B, I can’t wait to see your costumes!
