Week 2 in KS1- fantastic fun and friendships!

Happy Sunday everyone!

Year 1 and Year 2 have had another fabulous week at school. We have continued exploring about the ‘Sun, Moon and Stars’; learnt some new school protocols; practised our Maths skills; created and painted; and developed our relationships through team building activities!

Here is our KS1 Crew video of the week!

Enjoy 🙂

4L are all wonders!

This week we have been looking at the book we are wonders and we have created some beautiful artwork around this.

We thought about what makes us great and the things we are good at and wrote them around our picture. We also helped our friends, by telling them reasons they are great!

Lots of fun

F2 have been in school full days this week. We have learnt lots of new things. We have stayed for dinner and school dinner children have made choices and carried their trays safely.

We have played in shaving foam and have had lots of fun with our new friends.

A very busy week in 3T

3T, I can’t believe another week is over.

This morning, we have had our first assembly. How strange doing it over Google Hangouts! However, it was really fun and exciting to do assembly in this new way.

I have to shout out the following children.

Kody – amazing effort with his sentences!

Prashidi – putting her hand up in class

Katie – May – impressive work on place value this week

Keep up the hard work! I really and truly have been impressed by the whole class as we have worked through the second week of term.

A quick note to parents, please help me to ensure all the right uniform etc gets back to you at the end of the day by labelling each item clearly. Thank you for your support with this!

I am really excited for next week’s learning already. Here are some clues for those who are eager! In Maths, we will be learning about x tables and we will be scientists in the afternoon, finding out more about the sun, the moon and the stars. We have some very curious children who have heard that the Earth is spinning every minute of the day. They are very curious to find out more!!

Have a lovely weekend everyone,

Miss Topliss

Crew Piper Shout Outs

This morning we had our first virtual assembly as a Year 5/6 phase.  It was great to hear how well everyone has done during the first two weeks of our new, but somewhat different school year.

Well done Lilly and Aurora who have been awarded my shout outs today.  You have both impressed me so much with how hard you have been working this week.

Crew shoutouts!

We haven’t had much of a chance to catch up as a full 5/6 phase but today we did our first virtual assembly. It was lovely to hear what fabulous things our children have been doing in class and their highlights of the week as well as celebrating successes! Well done to everyone in 5/6 this week you have all been awesome but a bigger shout out to those children who received a shout-out from their teachers for their howls this week! Well done superstars! I am very proud of you all! #Crew5/6

Supporting Social Distancing

Can I please remind all parents to ensure they use the one way system around school and also ensure a safe distance at the classroom doors when dropping off and collecting their children.  I understand that it is a busy time but we need to ensure we keep as safe as possible.  Can I suggest that when collecting from classrooms you queue near the classroom doors, at a safe distance.  This will avoid blocking any routes between playgrounds.

Many thanks everyone

Mrs Coward

Superstars!

Awesome collaboration in maths in 6B! I am so impressed with the learning behaviours that are being developed within our crew! The children are showing super resilience and super support to their peers! Keep it up superstars!

Accelerated reader!

Today 6B have started on accelerated reader. They have each completed a star reader test which has allowed us to direct them to appropriate books at their level. The children were so hooked into their new books and can’t wait to get started on their online quizzes!
Well done 6B! Who will be our accelerated reader winner this week? Check back on Friday to find out!
