Tooth construction!

This afternoon, 3T have had great fun constructing a tooth! Check out our pictures below.
Please remember you will need your toothbrush and toothpaste tomorrow to be able to participate in the tooth experiment. #LovePlover

Collaborative work in 3T

3T have worked really hard today! They have learned to order fractions in Maths, and in English, they have been working together to answer questions about the Disney short, ‘Inner Workings’. Keep up the great work everyone! #LovePlover

Messages for this week

Good morning 3T and welcome to the first week of our new expedition! Miss Goodwin and I are really looking forward to getting started on our new Maths and English topics this week, as well as our first case study all about teeth!

There are a few things to remember this week. Firstly, to participate in the lesson on brushing your teeth, you must have returned your letter before Wednesday. You will need your own toothbrush and toothpaste on Thursday. PE is going to be on a Friday afternoon during this half term so please remember your kit. It is always a good idea to bring it on Monday and leave it until Friday. Finally, please remember to complete your work on MyMaths, set each Monday, as well as quizzing using MyOn. We were bottom place on the league last week so we really need to work hard this week in order to increase our score on the leader board!

Pride of Plover

Congratulations Katie – May. You’ve been recognised by Miss Goodwin for your work this week. We are both really impressed by how you’ve supported your peers and worked collaboratively across Hook Week. Well done! #LovePlover

Scientist Dress Up Day

Today, we have enjoyed dressing up like scientists. We have had a fun lesson making digestive system aprons. We’ve also really enjoyed watching ‘Inside Out’ this afternoon. Well done for a great hook week 3T. #LovePlover

What a Wonderful World

Before Easter we completed our expedition by recording our Plover version of the song ‘What a Wonderful World!’ We will be using this in the celebration of our Spring Expedition in May but we thought you would like a sneak peak. You can watch it on Youtube here:

We have also completed giant collaborative artwork for our final product, The Great Wave.

We decided to delay celebrating our expedition until all children had returned to school, to ensure that they could all contribute to the Final Product- I am so glad we did as the result is fantastic.

We are scientists in LKS2

We have had great fun in LKS2 during Hook Week and we can’t wait until our dress up as a scientist/medic day tomorrow.

As well as getting creative to immerse our classrooms for our new theme “How do we make Doncaster more Healthy?”, we have developed our inner scientist, learning about animals and humans.

We have researched and learnt how to classify animal species and played a giant game of Tag to learn about food chains

I have spoken to so many children who have been really excited about our new expedition and cannot wait to find out more.

I look forward to seeing what this expedition has in store!
