Thank you to everyone who checked in today. It hasn’t been as busy with completed learning today so please remember to click ‘hand in’ when you have finished learning. There is a guide on the blog to show you how to get your learning for each task. I would love to see more people tomorrow!

There has been more great learning from Troy and Zeynep in maths today as well as excellent answers in the reading comprehension from Bradley. Esther and Harper also popped in to do some great learning.

If you want even more free online resources to use, just check out Miss Blackham’s class blog which has a huge list you can use. Take pictures of videos of you learning at home and send them to me so that we can share them with each other.

Stay safe, wash your hands, and keep yourself at home. You have at least 3 more weeks of being at home so make the most of it!

Good morning again 3P!

Another day of home learning is set up and ready to go. Start your day by checking in your feelings through the classroom – please do this as it is important that we stay in touch during school hours. Try to do this by 9.30am if you can. (Remember that you MUST use your school email address to login through the website.)

After this, get your day warmed up with the Joe Wicks home PE session. This should get your body and brain ready for the learning tasks in the classroom. Remember that you may need to click on ‘view assignment’ to see some of the tasks and then when you have finished click on ‘hand in’ so that I can give you feedback on your learning.

When you have completed all of the tasks for today, you can always go back and do tasks you missed yesterday. There is also the chance to get on TTRockstars and ReadTheory. Why not even read a book you may have at home?

Finally, if you do any other examples of learning at home that you would love to share, take pictures and send them to me. I can share some examples on this blog!

Well done to everyone who has checked in and completed learning online today – it was great to speak with you!

We have had some fabulous learning done and I just want to shout out a few examples. There was some great maths work from Zeynep and Alfie (amongst many others!), Bradley, Esther and Troy did some great work on solids, liquids and gases and James and Jamilia did some great Spag work.

We will get better at using the online resources as each day goes by – I have learnt loads in just one day as well!

Remember to log in every day and at least complete the feelings check-in so that I know you have popped in. This is really important and is expected from everyone. I will respond and feedback on your learning or comments during the normal working hours of school.

Try to stay indoors and safe – this is not an extra long school holiday! Keep washing hands and looking after each other with lots of acts of kindness. See you all tomorrow.

Remember to log in (with your school email log in details only!)and complete the feelings check in before you do anything else. When you have completed any assignments remember to click on ‘hand in’ so that I can see what you have done.

I want to give a shout out to Troy for doing some great research on Maya gods and also solved problems for length and perimeter. Keep going!

During these unusual times, we have created a range of learning opportunities for your child to still be able to continue their learning at home on Google Classroom. They have been shown how to log in. Pupil-Step-by-step-Guide-to-Accessing-Google-Classroom-from-Home-

Every day, please encourage your child to complete the feelings ‘check-in’ survey. There are also some activities that have been placed in to each day for your child to have a go at. There are others they can have a go at once they have done the required tasks. Learning can be submitted online and you can even upload any photographs of learning you have done for me to have a look at.

Remember to also log on daily to TTRockstars and ReadTheory to keep practising these essential skills during the school closure. Also remember that the closure simply means that we have to learn from home instead – it isn’t an extra holiday! Take the chance to do some school learning but also learn useful skills around the house. Send pictures of new skills you have been learning.

Learning can happen anywhere!

There has been a brilliant response to the option to dress up as book characters today – all of the children looked amazing! Thank you for supporting the event in this way. There were even some brilliantly decorated potatoes!

Every child has taken home a World Book Day voucher. Please take the time to take your child to a relevant book shop to exchange their voucher for a FREE book or for a discount on a full priced one. Also, remember to encourage your child to practice their reading and comprehension through the Read Theory website (www.readtheory.org). They all have their login details in their reading records. Remember to record all of the reading that your child does in that book.
