6B have worked so hard this morning during their peer critique session. They carefully identified the features they had used against the RUBRIC and gave each other next steps to be able to achieve their required step.
I am so proud of you all 6B and your newspaper reports are sounding awesome!
We are on our way home from a fantastic day out at the National space centre. I am unbelievably proud of each and every child today as their behaviour has been fantastic! The children have learnt so much and can’t wait to share their experiences with their parents and carers tonight.
We are aiming to be home for twenty past four, please can we ask parents to not park directly outside of the school at our time of arrival to allow our driver to park safely.
Some of the years 5&6 children are on their way to the Space centre and they are so excited! We will update you via our blog when we are on our way home (which is estimated for 4pm).
We will upload all photos on our class blogs this evening! We can’t wait to learn lots more interesting things about space!
A huge well done to Super Susie who danced in a number of competitions this weekend! Of course she was amazing! We are so proud of you Susie!
A huge well done to those children who have received crew shout outs today! It’s so amazing to see so many children working to achieve their pledges! Well done!
Yesterday, the children took ownership of their own learning. We reflected on the subtopics which we have recently covered in our angles learning. The children then selected which subtopic they wanted to revisit and went to that station, they used WAGOLLS and peer coaching to support their learning and they answered a variety of fluency, reasoning and problem solving questions.
Today, the children completed their end of topic assessment and they all did amazing as a result of their honest reflections and hard work yesterday! I am really proud!
I highly recommend this fantastic website which covers many topics which we cover in year 6. Not only does it have various maths SATs questions from previous years, it also has youtube tutorials demonstrating the methods and talking through the questions!
If you can show me you have been working on this website at home, you can exchange your evidence for a prize out of my prize box!
Today, these children recorded with Trax FM as part of their little school project. Next week, from 3:30pm-4:00pm the children will be on the radio every day, answering questions and telling jokes for the whole week. They were all fabulous and I can’t wait to tune in!
