Exhausted but feeling magical!

We had a great hook week with lots of exciting activities. On Friday the children experienced different lessons with different Professors! I taught potions with all the classes and the most popular potion was one to irritate a teacher! It is quite eye opening when children can tell you all the things that you don’t like!

Hook Week

We’ve had a fabulous week this week. We’ve had an art day, science day and to finish the week off we’ve had a Harry Potter day. I was impressed to see so many of you dressed up in gowns. I’ve seen lots of creative and collaborative learning throughout the week. Awesome, Crew Chapman.

Yellow T-shirt winners in 6B!

A huge shout out to the lovely Maisy and Darin for being the yellow T-shirt winners this week! Maisy was the winner before half term because she is just a shining example of someone who always works hard, gets smart and is kind! She is always so enthusiastic and positive and a real asset to Plover.

Darin only joined us at Plover on Monday and it’s like he has been with us forever. He is so hard working and he has thrown himself in to all of the challenges immersion week has thrown at him and he has shown great resilience. We are very lucky to have him in 6B!

Our celebration video from last term’s Expedition!

We are so proud of you 5/6 for not only producing awesome work last term during challenging times when some of you were working from home and adapting to online lessons but also for the amazing fundraising you all contributed to for Markham Main mining memorial. You are all amazing and I hope you enjoy this video capturing a truly awesome Expedition!

Our week has consisted of an immersion day, (where all the children helped to decorate our classrooms and corridors) an Art and a Science day all linked to our Harry Potter theme. Have a nosey through our pictures and see what we got up to!

Pledges

In Crew Chapman, we have made pledges this morning to improve our writing. Lots of us are going to experiment with punctuation and begin to use a wider range of conjunctions. We wrote our pledges on a ‘golden snitch’ and put them on our Quidditch display that Mia, Shang and Ruby created for us.
