Year 6 are just getting started with our WW2 expert! I can’t wait to experience this with them as I know the lady is extremely knowledgeable and has lots of fun activities planned. I just want to thank parents for contributing towards these experiences for our children as they really do get so much from them! Keep checking your child’s class blog for more pictures of what we get up to during the workshop!
Check year 6’s blog for more photos!

How lucky am I to have a class full of fabulous, hard-working children! It makes choosing the postcard winners so hard! This lovely lot have been chosen for achieving their ME’s and pushing themselves to achieve all 4’s on their HOWLs. I’m so proud of you all! Keep it up superstars!
Please could all parents ensure they pay the £2.90 for the visitor who is coming to school on Monday! Many thanks Year 5/6 team.
Years 5&6 are enjoying a live Q&A session with a World War expert! They have learnt so much about the wars and they have discovered some really interesting facts! The children had lots of interesting questions which were answered too!
We can’t wait for another expert to join us on Monday where we will learn even more!
6B have produced some stunning poetry this week! We watched the short film ‘behind enemy lines’ which is a really touching story about two boys reading their Grandfather’s letters home during WWII. We then discussed the clip and made lots of notes to support our poems. I was absolutely blown away by their efforts and I feel extremely proud of each and every one of them. Well done 6B!
Well done to this lovely lot in 6B who have been this weeks winners of the Plover postcard! You have all achieved fantastic scores on your HOWLs this week and I couldn’t be prouder! Keep shining my little stars! You are awesome!
The children are really enjoying film night! We have had lots of laughs and fun and everyone is now enjoying their hotdogs and drinks and settling down to watch the film 🙂
Tonight we may not be celebrating bonfire night as we normally would so we decided to create our own firework display this afternoon using a range of art techniques. 6B have been total superstars and I am loving the abundance of colours in my classroom from their stunning creations! Well done my lovelies!
