I know it has only been 4 days but……

The end is insight! We are all feeling ready for the weekend even though it has only been 4 days. The children have really settled in well and have embraced their learning. I know there has been a few sore feet [mine included] after wearing new shoes. Well done 5K enjoy the coming weekend – see you tomorrow for the last day of the week.

6B’s local celeb!

Craig has been so excited to share his letter from Sir David Attenborough as he hasn’t seen his friends since he received it during lockdown! Craig even made the paper! How exciting! Well done Craig! We are super proud of you!

Welcome Back!

Welcome back 3T. It has been wonderful to see you all back at school. I have been so excited to have you all back. Thank you for a great first 2 days! Your behaviour in class has been exemplary. Moving to Year 3 is a big step, we are now juniors, but every child has acted with maturity and settled well into their new class.

We have worked hard on creating a class poem, thinking all about our qualities. Look out for the finished piece soon! We have a little decorating to do now!

In English, we have begun learning all about the sun, moon and stars and the class have asked some superb questions. I think I need to get my researching hat on very quickly!!

I have been so proud of the place value work today that the children have done up to 1000. Mrs Brown and I were blown away by how well you worked with the Deines to create numbers to 999!

Keep up the fantastic work 3T, what an amazing start to the year!

Nice to be back but it is tiring!

It’s been brilliant to see all the children back at school and to have a class to teach again. The only down side that the children and I agree on is having to be out of our pyjamas so early! All the children look very smart in their uniforms – well done mums, dads and carers your children are a credit to you.

Marvellous maths!

Super work from 6B this morning in maths. The children have worked really hard in collaborative groups to work through fluency, reasoning and problem solving questions. I’m feeling very proud of you all 6B, please keep it up!

Welcome back 4L

Welcome back 4L! What a pleasure it has been to see your lovely, smiley faces today. You have worked really hard today and I can’t wait to see how much you flourish throughout the year!

Hello Key Stage 1,

I just wanted to say what a truly fabulous day we have had in Year 1 and 2.  The children were a joy to teach and clearly enjoyed seeing their friends again.

It will take a few days to get back into the daily routines (I know quite a few were wanting lunch at 10am!), and I know we had a lot of tired children (and teachers) at the end of the day.

Keep following our blog as we will post photos and keep you updated with events regularly.

Many thanks

KS1 team

Welcome Back Year 6s!

What a fabulous first day back our new Year 6s have had!  Every single pupil made my jaw ache due to over smiling! They have been an absolute credit to themselves and welcomed our new class mate with open arms – so to speak. Today we have worked as a crew – playing a variety of games whereby the children realised that if we work together, our journey can be achieved quicker and with a deeper understanding of what we need to do to make our journey successful.
I’m really looking forward to tomorrow but for now, my feet need some TLC.
Well done 6H. Here’s to an awesome year!

What a fabulous first day!

6B have had lots of fun today as a brand new crew! We have done lots of crew activities to get to know one another. We have also created and discussed our new class norms! We have had lots of fun and caught up with our year group friends. It was so lovely to see so many happy and smiley faces! I can’t wait to see you all back tomorrow ready for lots more fun as we explore our transition slice!
