Children in 3LS have been working really hard in English, both today and yesterday. Ara showed great speaking and listening skills, listening to songs by famous artists and sharing his thoughts. Homam has amazed us all today by independently writing his name on his work for the first time.
You have produced creative and imaginative Home Learning, worked incredibly hard in class in all subjects and written a setting description of changing ‘Bear Island’ from the point of view of the polar bear, that shows real writer’s craft.
Friday (4th February) is the national NCPCC Number Day. We would like all children to come to school dressed up as a number. Please find below some great ideas for dressing up. We can’t wait to see all of you!
Students in Year 2, 3, 4 and 5 have an amazing opportunity to become a Digital Leader within their class.
This is a fantastic opportunity for children to develop their own individual skills when it comes to the latest technology. Children who are successful will get the opportunity to visit XP East and potentially the Apple Store to have further training on how to use technology including iPads, MacBooks and some of the other great products that are used throughout school. Our Digital Leaders will then become the experts who can then pass on their knowledge to others.
Below is a link to the Digital Leaders website where you can find out further information.
Applications will need to be sent to Miss Lotysz by Thursday 3rd February explaining why you would make a fantastic Digital Leader. This can be done in a format of your choice including a letter, slides or even a video showcasing your IT skills.
Kayden has been very busy helping his mum with chores around the house. From the pocket money he has earnt, he has been inspired by our expedition and decided to adopt a polar bear!

Don’t forget, all applications need to be handed in by Thursday 3rd February and I will be looking for 2 children out of each class in Years 2-5. Make your applications as appealing and as creative as possible.
A great big well done to Johnny who is our yellow T-shirt winner this week. It was lovely to see his great big smile when he found out! Johnny could have been our Pride of Plover every week because he always works hard and gives 100% effort. He is a great friend and coach and we are all so happy he is in our class.
Our new Ambassadors had an exciting morning visiting XP East, where they had a tour of the school from their experienced school ambassadors. Our pupils really enjoyed the visit, the XP pupils were amazing and taught us how to make a tour interesting and fun. We can’t wait to start to show visitors around our school. Obviously, our first visitors will be XP East as we want them to critique our skills!
This term in PE we will be doing indoor athletics, our PE days have changed to a Tuesday, please ensure children have full PE kit to allow them to perform well in the lesson.
