Phase Crew – come on 5K!

We regularly have a Year 5 and 6 crew meeting where we celebrate the children’s’ successes. These are things such as the highest arithmetic scores, the highest score on TTRS and the best class attendance.

My responsibility is to report the attendance scores and I am very competitive and like to win however our attendance is slipping in Crew Keegan! Please, please can you ensure your children attend school? If they are obviously unwell let the office know but if you are unsure please send them in. If I have any concerns, I will ring you.

Come on Crew Keegan, lets win another £10 for our treat fund!

Museum Visit

On Friday, we had an excellent, informative talk from Doncaster museum. We have had a mix of Case Study One and Case Study Two – both History and Science were covered as part of the workshop. We learned all about medicine over time, and how this has adapted and changed. We learned about the difference between a pandemic and an epidemic and we explored how people reacted to different viruses throughout history. We learned about significant individuals throughout history, too. The museum staff even fetched some real objects for us to handle from the museum collection, which we were so lucky and grateful to have had in school. What an amazing experience! #LovePlover

#Take10

We are participating in Ant and Dec’s Take 10 this morning, giving ourselves 10 minutes to focus on the things that make us happy! We are taking 10 minutes this morning to read, and focus on our wellbeing. #LovePlover

A huge shout out to Paula Windle (Lola’s mum) who is kindly organising a raffle to raise funds for Year 6 leavers. Lots of prizes have been coming in. Tickets will be on sale from Friday 13th May should you wish to purchase any.

Also, a huge shout out to Laura Davies (Bethannie’s mum) who has also been raising money through guess the teddies name.

We are so very grateful for your support.

Pride of Plover

Well done to Ksawery – this week’s yellow T-shirt winner in 6H. He has been so determined to make great progress that he has been attending additional SATs revision sessions before school for weeks. In addition, he has been trying really hard to improve his reading when working with Miss Telford.
