Just a reminder to 5/6 parents to ensure children come to school wearing sun cream and they have appropriate protection from the sun such as hats snd sunglasses if you feel necessary for when they are outside. Extra water is also advised. Thank you for your support.
It has been a joy to be part of the Year 5 presentations this afternoon. The thought and care that the children have taken in their work has been amazing. The children have reflected on what they have learned about diet, exercise and drugs, and how it impacts their heart. The presentations were thorough and the children listened very well to one another. Well done 5T! #LovePlover
Harrison and Kyle are just total stars!! They have produced an amazing extended piece of writing by answering our mini case study one guiding question. They used case study one’s RUBRIC to ensure they included everything they have learnt so far. I was so amazed by their efforts, I had to share on the blog!
Well done boys, you have done an amazing job of working as historians! 10 crew coins each 💙
These superstars worked so hard in science this afternoon. They had previously learnt about the structure of a heart and then they began to look at the structure more closely by dissecting the heart. They were all so intrigued and we only had a few queezy stomachs! Well done 6B! I can’t wait to read your writing tomorrow based on today’s scientific work!
5K have been experimenting to see the affects of a healthy and unhealthy lifestyle on our circulatory system. The groups had different widths of piping for the arteries and different equipment to represent how quickly or slowly the blood could be moved around our bodies.
6H have had an afternoon of blood and gore! Well done to you all! However, should I ever need heart surgery, I think I shall to head to hospital rather than come to you guys! We clearly have some budding doctors in the class. Special shout outs to Dahin and Kiera who displayed so much curiosity and intrigue that I didn’t think they would ever stop exploring. Shout out also for Lola. Prior to doing this dissection, she was adamant that she would not be able to join in, but she did and she was fabulous!
A huge shout out to Razvan, Matthew, William, Anez, Mohammed, Kyle, Shyaw, Shashank, Abdul, John-Henry, Corey, Harrison, Agrima, Ashton, Noah and Dalton!
These footballers represented Plover superbly this afternoon at the XP football tournament, showing courage, sportsmanship and played some great football!
Unfortunately, our teams didn’t win the trophy but they were in with a chance of winning it going into the last game! Well done to Green Top 🏆
Thank you parents for your cooperation and support!
We are proud of every single person who took part this afternoon!🙌🏽😅☀️⚽️🥇
Wow! I am blown away by Frazer’s hard work today. He has produced a gorgeous write up of a science experiment he carried out. He was so proud of himself and so he should be!50 crew coins mate- well done!
